I had to run an errand over toward the east side of Dallas, in Mesquite, which tbh probably leans more country. The highschool kids are usually in cowboy boots/jeans. I saw a Best Buy so I ran in to check the stock #cray and I was so disappointed because there were many copies of the deluxe at the New Release area and the end caps. I stopped a young guy nearby and held up a copy of TP deluxe. I asked him who was in charge of the music area and he said the lady was out to lunch but he helped her stock. I said I was really surprised that there were so many of these (holding up Trespassing Deluxe) and he said: WAIT FOR IT.... we just restocked 30 minutes ago. I said, ok I see, how many did you have to start with. He said THREE HUNDRED. I said, really, ARE YOU SURE? He looked at me funny and said, yes, I'm positive, we got 2 big boxes in on Tuesday. I said, and you ran out? He said yes, that's been selling like crazy. EEEEP! This sounds great and I'm not doubting it's veracity but I guess I'm just skeptical about how these individual stories effect the bottom line. I'm going to keep my expectations at the 70-80k that HDD said and hope that's enough for #1. If it turns out that this really is indicative of what's happening all over, then I will be thrilled!  |

I'm floored by this story....my Walmart got in maybe 10 Standard CD's. (They brought them out to me saying that's all that was in the box - and no deluxe - or so they said :  . This Target was shipped 300?!! Also....he (stock boy) said they received 300 and had just re-stocked. (They didn't put 300 out on the floor). Still....sure hope it's indicative of the demand! :D Edit/ HDD has the reports of how well Trespassing is selling, they didn't up their forecast. I'm just crossing my fingers for a number 1 debut (don't really care about the number sold). This story was about BB not Target I think. Best Buy seems to be the one store that is consistently keeping TP in stock. Why is it so hard in the other stores? Grrrr...doesn't Adam have enough obstacles getting to #1 without worrying about empty shelves. Carrie was selling like hotcakes and they manage to keep her in stock. Loved your recap MWP! |

Can anyone tell me whether the separate tracking numbers for the basic and the deluxe albums get totalled when looking at the overall numbers :-[ |

Thank God I'm not alone. My son is in kindergarten and is having spelling tests on "what" "that" "he", etc. P.S. HSM, I won't let my kids listen to Cuckoo either.... I'm not too concerned about "ass" though...I tell them he's talking about his pet donkey :D I'm feeling lucky My 7 years old knows only bits and pieces in English and can listen to any Adam's song anytime : |
