jesslala, thanks for checking in. But did you have fun? LOL It's like Adam fan reporting in from the field. Full time job. What happened with the fan running up? Why do they keep ending "Cuckoo" so abruptly. They get the audience to participate and then they just. stop. Yes, I did have fun but taking video and trying to watch Adam is very difficult. I have taken video at each concert I've attended and I hate watching it through the camera. Tonight I tried to keep the camera on him while I watched live because I was so close. I give a lot of credit to the fans who bring us such fantastic videos from the concerts. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll bet the ustream you watched is probably clearer than what I'm uploading. But I tried. I really, really enjoyed Adam tonight. He was firing on all cylinders tonight and was having fun. He appeared early so the place wasn't full yet but the crowd definitely was with him all the way. He brought up a fan during Cuckoo because she kept screaming at him during her M&G and told the audience that this bitch was crazy. It was a fun moment for her and for Adam, he really enjoyed it. Yes, a lot of people left after Adam finished. I stayed until after Enrique Inglesia finished. I was getting really claustrophic by that point because the security team was not keeping the aisles open down near the stage and the girls in front of me were now standing on their seats and I couldn't see a thing. The place was packed for these later acts. I've seen Pitpull perform--not worth fighting the crowds for. Someone mentioned that they thought Adam et al would be staying in NYC tonight. I would think since PCN is already about halfway to Philadephelphia from NYC that they would probably go there tonight. Just a thought. ETA It took me 5 times to post this. I had to change browsers. Is there a problem or is it me?

It has been part of the show business tradition for performers to acknowledge and thank their band members. I'm thinking here of greats like Sinatra, Sammy Davis and Liza Minnelli (who used to even end her shows with a singing tribute "Here's to the Band").
Maybe that tradition faded. I saw Barbara Streisand a few years back, and don't recall her thanking even key members of her backing band. So it is nice to see Adam bring back the thank yous.

I am thinking that Adele managed to tap into "SuBo" buying audience... so she is selling to the young and the old... she is a "safe" gift to any relative or a friend - of any age... She is also sounding "country" to my ears so I think the country music fans are buying as well. ... I am probably the only person in the world who neither owns nor has any desire to own her album...I stopped into my local B&N to check on TP. They have a "new music" display right by the registers, so that you pass by it while waiting in the line.... Adam had 1 DeLuxe and 1 Regular left in his slots. However the slots were in the lower right corner - all the way by the floor. Adele was right on the eye level along with some names I've never heard of (which means nothing of course)... I was really upset by the placement but could not re-arrange... What day do the BB numbers come out? I don't own an Adele CD either. I have no deisire for one. I would really like to see Walgreens put the CD at the check out counter like I see other artists You know...go in for some medicine...see the CD...buy it...feel better real fast! ;D Neither do I - but I did buy Rolling in the Deep,

Reyna @rainonme83 New Jersey...great show tonight!! Adam did it again...peace out!! Next up...Philly!! Aagghh, I can't believe he's going to be so close and I'm not going. But I am going to Wilkes Barre--decided it was worth the extra two hours of driving time to attend a show where he's headlining! I'll NEVER regret seeing his 20 minute set on the AI tour, and I'm not sorry I went to the Philly jingle ball in 2010, but not at all sure I'd do that again. Unless it was in the middle of a long Adam drought!

Me too! I think it is great! On twitter people are saying "It slows down the momentum of Cuckoo and he loses the crowd." How would someone who is not there know that? You can't tell from a UStream or a You Tube. You would have to be present. Adam can feel an audience. If it's not right, he'll change it. Remember all the wank that audience in Austria got? Turns out they were a wonderful audience! Adam's intro of the band is from his heart but it's also the sign of a smart leader. When asked about what they most want from work, people consistently rate salary and leave well below meaningfulness; being valued by employer; etc. Those who feel valued and heard as individuals tend to blend group interest with personal interest and up their games and committment accordingly. I think the couple of minutes Adam takes to show public respect and affection for his band is an excellent investment (JMHO). (As an audience member, I enjoy it when any act does this honestly but that's just me.) Mika, I totally agree with this. ETA: Adam knows he is the "star", but at the same time he has always acknowledged and been appreciative of the fact that any performance has a collaborative aspect, which he thoroughly seems to enjoy and appreciate. Jesslala, thanks for the recap.

Almost every concert I've ever been to, the lead singer or the solo artist has introduced their band members individually. During full shows, the individual musicians will also usually have solos. These radio shows may be different, due to most of the singers having a 15-20 minute time slot. ?

Yeah, not expecting any more of that this time around!
