Please oh please if he's performing at RAH he's just gotta do Underneath or Soaked. I know I know gotta promote the single but it's one of the best halls in the world for singers... #justsayin #showoffthevoice #dammit Outlaws of Love was my first thought. But yes, a song where his vocals will soar to heaven, jezz I am in happy tears just thinking about it. He will leave US soil struggling to get radio play and come back in the upper tier of world stars by the time summer is over. This and Queen and all the other events we may not even know about yet plus all the promo yet to go in the US, his space ship is in hyper-warp. I just!!!!!!!!!!! ;D :D

I'm trying to think of a way to say this delicately. If you are planning on going to one of these radio concerts be aware that 80% of the crowd is made up of females under the age of 25. They predominetaly wear jeans and t-shirts. None wear fan t-shirts except for a small amount of tweens (a very small amount) might wear The Wanted t-shirts or something. It's not cool to wear fan t-shirts in this age group. Nothing makes a singer look way uncool than to have a contingent of mother/grandmothers decked out in fan t-shirts and black and yellow neon showing up at a radio concert. I can't tell you how many shades of wrong that is. If you are out of your 20s then please blend. PD's are also noting this which is so not good.
I get that your advice is well-intentioned, and you want radio program directors to see that Adam fans represent a desirable market. Ok, but -- so we can make the most favorable impression possible, maybe you would prefer that anyone over 29 should stay home? Or if we do go to a show, we should be sure to have liposuction, plastic surgery, and a salon session first so our gray hair and wrinkles don't give away our ages?
Older Adam fans shouldn't be made to feel that our dollars and credit cards are welcome, but any other shows of support for him are uncool. Would I attend an Adam concert decked out like a black and gold Mardi Gras float? Probably not (though you wouldn't want to see how I dress for Steelers game days.) But if I show up to see Adam wearing black jeans and a black shirt, with maybe a tasteful yellow necklace, it ain't Trespassin'.
Interesting conversation... if Lady Gaga is permitted to walk around in undergarments... a fan should be allowed to express herself... Gaga is a celebrity ? well a fan is better than that... they create the celebrities with their adulation... and Adam, because of who he is... attracts more of the decent, well meaning, intelligent but fun crowd... his success will evolve in the best possible way.... and so will his fans....have faith... I think people of any age should be able to wear whatever they like without being shamed about it. DITTO THIS. Who was it that said, live and let live, and you can pull off anything you want to wear if YOU want to do it? Oh yeah, that was Adam Lambert. IMO, people should deck themselves out in glitter, neon, blue eye shadow, pink hair, blue hair, a three-piece suit--whatever the heck they feel like wearing. Remember what Adam says to do when people tell you "no"? Yep, and if they do this, don't complain when the PD's don't play his music, and media etc., act like he's a joke... I'm just saying, that it's alright when it's at Adam's own concerts, dress up in all the crazy outfits and colors to your hearts delight. But when it's these T.V. and radio showcases, it's better to try and blend in and look a little sane. And understand that, you over there trying to be fierce and free could be more of a hindrance then a help, that's all.

Finns! Time to tune in NRJ. I didn't catch the very beginning but I assume NCOE was not placed that badly today. They just announced three next songs, no NCOE there. That leaves the top 3 or so...

Putting on my mod hat for a moment to remind folks of rule #4.
4. Never question anyone's right to post, the appropriateness of a topic or define the proper way for an Adam fan or Adamtopia Member to behave. Let the moderators do their job.
The question of what to wear or not wear at a radio concert is legitimate, but also controversial. Controversial is okay on the forum, but, let's not stomp it into the ground. The point has been made. The counter point has been offered. Both have validity. Each fan must make their own decision. There is so much goodness in today's thread, can we move on and focus on that now?

I have never bought or worn a fan shirt...ever...HOWEVER...I seriously do not think Adam would agree with the idea that somehow dressing and BEING older is something to be ashamed of and to hide away. If that were the case, he would still be in the closet whirring GQ. The problem, as I see it, is not that WE should 'dress to fit' or 'fade away' but that we should force the pd's and the media to respect and appreciate us, regardless of our demographic. This is discrimination every bit as real and abhorrent as that against any other 'minority' and should not be supported. Need to go back to Foucault.... eta...sorry cassie....your post came in ahead of mine and I haven't read the 2 pages between my reply and the orig...do you want me to delete? Mod response: I understand the cross posting. But, I am closing this discussion now. I've got too many wonderful vids from last night to watch to try and mediate the daily thread.
