Via Lolly523 þ@Lolly523 Look right now!!!! This is without iTunes. So not time to celebrate yet but I suggest that we can chill the champagne. We will know if we can get out the glasses tomorrow. And be popping that cork on Weds. --- I have been waiting a long time to see Adam with a #1 and odds are great that we will be seeing it soon. I've been around here a long time - - since Planet Fierce began. Been moved by many posts; certainly, been moved by many performances. But this post, Q3, is the one that has me wiping my eyes. Please, let it be true.

#1 go go go - and I don't care if it's the lowest sales to reach #1 in recorded history. It would be an historic #1 and that's what will be remembered and noted. No one thinks about the margin of victory in the Super Bowl - they got the ring and that's what counts!!!!
Squee on catch you all (much) later.

HDD update- I don't remember reading anywhere about "Now That's What I Call Music" being up in the top 3 or so. ??? It won't be. The NOW discs mostly sell in Walmart and Target. -- iTunes is 38% of total recorded music sales but NOT 38% of album sales. The percent of digital sales varies widely by artist. Country artist tend to sell a lot more CDs, alt rock skews more toward digital. Pre-teens/youn teens (NOW buyers) and people over 45 buy more CDs than people in the middle. My guess is that 30%-35% of Adam's total sales will be downloads. But the presale will have more CDs because of AO.com and because the core fans want to have physical product. 55% would be Trans World Entertainment (FYE), Best Buy, Starbucks, Target and Anderson Merchandisers (Walmart). That leave iTunes and the rest of sales (Amazon, AO.com, B&N, etc.) We know Trespassing did well on iTunes. Amazon, AO, B&N all had presales that look pretty strong plus the week 1 sales. I am right now.

I get were the thought comes from -- but I disagree about fan dress codes. IMO wear what you want and what makes you feel great. I spent 20 years of my life doing promotions with radio stations and not one PD or DJ ever said anything about the look of the fans. It is radio! The only people who watch the radio promo videos are Adam fans already and they rarely show the fans. ...Adam repeated a message at every GNT stop. The "It doesn't matter what ..." speech. Age was on his list. I have only worn 1 item with Adam's or any other artist's name or picture on it -- a Trespassing Apron in my own kitchen (Thank you Coke and Bama!) I will probably never wear an Adam t-shirt but it could happen. (I lean toward black and more black). But if I did decide to wear an Adam teeshirt, I would do it proudly!! Thanks, Q3, for chiming in with this (since my same sentiments apparently were not expressed correctly earlier in the day). Agree 100%! :D
