www.villagevoice.com/2012-05-23/music/midyear-report-12-for-12/WAS THIS POSTED? I DON'T REMEMBER. THE VILLAGE VOICE BERTING AGAIN. The year is nearly halfway over, and in an effort to keep up, I've been crafting a Spotify playlist containing the notable albums that have come out this year. Even though there are six months and change to go, it has surpassed the 3,000-track mark. Here are 12 songs that have risen to the top of that massive heap, arranged in something resembling a playlist order. (To hear the tracks, check out the Voice's music blog, Sound of the City.) Adam Lambert feat. Sam Sparro and Nile Rodgers, "Shady." American Idol's superstar runner-up pays homage to "Superstition" and Chic with this slinky slow-burner of a track, which has a star turn from Rodgers on guitar.

I'd like to thank Wal and Gelly for posting all fabulous Adam goodies here. :D Also, special thanks to Seoulmate for keeping this place light, bright, fun and sexy. Jesslala, thank you for the recap and I'm sure your videos will be great! :D Virg, I can't even imagine how the photos would look like if your camera wasn't broken. Thanks! And the photos are... I cannot describe them without fear of falling into platitudes, but I just got to say it... he seems in touch with that place inside which holds the reason of his existence.... he's not only happy, his face reflects the state of complete inner nirvana: he's made it, his baby is loved and adored by all, deservingly so, AND he's on stage, performing to a VERY appreciative audience. I think this is his life's accomplishment. The photo quoted by Catzmadam: physical manifestation of Adam Lambert reaching his peak. I'm being 'family friendly' here.
