I am voting for Kanadie to offer his services to Adam as sound engineer. That would be PERFECT. Not only would the sound be right, but we would have a mole inside the organization. Yup, great idea.
I am recalling a live stream of one of the radio contest concerts where we got to eavesdrop on a sound check with Adam and Tommy. The sound guy off camera must have said everything was good, because Adam questioned whether he had calibrated for the loud, high notes in the song. Guy must have brushed it off, because Adam came back with the worry that he would blow out the speakers, as he had heard distortion or static or something. Then he insisted on singing the chorus thru once more to make sure it was okay. Anyone remember that? Adam worried that the sound engineer might not be prepared for his powerful voice.
But our Kanadie knows his voice very well, and would be able to anticipate every belt and every whisper. I think it is a superb idea!

Late to the squeeing and flailing, but wanted to add mine as well--YAY FOR #1! I am even feeling like some others have said here--he's got this and will be just fine. Perhaps we can relax a bit. I am so happy for him!
Also, I was curious if there is any way to know what kind of international sales he's had so far? It would be great to see those numbers too. The total sales worldwide would be a awesome thing to tout!
Thanks to Q3 for the amazing "LIGHT" thread yesterday--I got to it late and had to prop my eyelids open, but went through every single page--it was beautiful!
Have a lovely day everyone!

www.billboard.com/news/adam-lambert-snags-first-no-1-album-on-billboard-1007130952.story#.T7z8i23EFkk.twitterAdam Lambert Snags First No. 1 Album on Billboard 200 Chart For the first time, one "American Idol" replaces another at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart as Adam Lambert's "Trespassing" debuts atop the list with 77,000 sold according to Nielsen SoundScan. His arrival bumps last week's leader, Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away," down to No. 3 (54,000; down 55%). It's Lambert's first No. 1 album and is his second major label studio set. It follows 2009's "For Your Entertainment," which debuted and peaked at No. 3 with 198,000 sold in its first week. It was blocked from No. 1 by Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" (a debut at No. 1 with 701,000) and Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas" at No. 2 (218,000).

Cassie, in the AOL sessions it was Octavia singing. I think the switch over made the difference. It hasn't sounded the same since. I agree that not hearing is an issue but there was something much more silky and mellow about Octavia's voice. Yep. They haven't sounded on pitch (to me) since Octavia left...you can hear her voice in the AOL sessions...smooth and rich, it blended well with Keisha's voice. I'm side-eying new girl. Sorry. (I know she's a wealth of inside info...but damn! LOL!) I'm also thinking it's the new girl. Remember, Octavia was one of the BU singers on The Kimmel Show and everyone thought they sounded great! She is also on the AOL sessions. Adam sounded perfect on his two performances of BTIKM with backing tracks. I say dump the BU singers until you can find better ones. They are out there, Kelly Clarkson's are awesome! I know some people hate backing tracks, but it's better than off-tune singing and it's frustrating Adam in the process. Plus, using tracks means it's Adam backing up Adam!
