oh, those others don't have liquor? Then what good are they? Tequilla and beer are both yellow, well kinda gold. [raises eyebrow] [sighs] [reaches into carpetbag; pulls out a frosted mug and a pair of beer taps that disappear into the darkness] [carefully layers an India Pale Ale and Guiness Stout] Here ya go. A "Black-n-Tan". Have a set of champagne and karmic creme lollys to go with it, and you're set. ;D ;D oh, Hoppers! Sorry to make you (sigh)/work! thanks!!!!!! kinda embarassed here, and I am not really a hick, but WTH is Black Sambuca? Italian liquor. Anise-flavoured. The black variety is dark as compared to the clear "white" variety. :D Oh I had no idea there was a black sambuca. (I've lived such a sheltered life! LOL).

I was listening to some show on the VH1 classic TV station a few days ago. They had on some members of some older rock bands and one of the guys mentioned how the music business has changed. He said it use to be that every song had a place on the whole theme of the album. There were no fillers and you didn't have to to worry about getting radio play for that one song to chart. All songs were important to the flow of the album and were equally important. What he said sure reminded me of things Adam has talked about with his album. A theme and a cohesiveness of songs on his album. Adam...the modern edgy artist with an old rock soul. ETA: Hoppers I just saw those delicious lollies you posted for me!! So decadent.....YUM!! Thank you! ;D
I think it's very evident that this is exactly what Adam attempted to do with his song choices and feel like he was very successful. Artists that I have enjoyed the most over the years seem to have done that too. Moody Blues comes to mind -- their songs actually drifted into one another (boy did we have some listening parties when they had a record release!). Adam does is in a very different way but it is the one of the first things that stood out to me. It is also the first thing that I bring up when trying to explain the music (besides the layers and the textures).
