Charity Water total is currently $81,774. mycharitywater.org/p/campaign?campaign_id=22963How can we get the old fandom enthusiasm focused back on reaching the Charity Water goal as a way of celebrating Adam being #1 on the Billboard 200? Ideas anyone?peace&love I dunno, bb... I think the only thing that might make any difference at this point is a direct tweet from Adam. :-/ Love you for trying so hard!!! I would give it a break for a week or so, till people recover from buying and gifting albums...one thing at a time IMO :

Is it terribly catty of me to think, "Another WGWG? Bring 'em on! The more WGWG who win, the more Idol winners will tank in the professional world, the more Adam will stand out as exceptionally exceptional coming from Idol." I'm not up on all my Idol contestants, but, isn't Daughtry the only guy who has had a successful, sustained, high selling musical career over the span of many albums? Yes, but he is not doing as well with album #3. #1 was EPIC! It sold 5 million. #2 did just over 1 million. # 3, out since Black Friday week is in the 400K range. He hasn't had a successful single of this 3rd album yet.

I wonder how different Idol would be if Adam had won. When Adam lost, the show lowered the barand IMO made it acceptable for a winner to be less than the best talent that the show had seen. It opened the door for mediocre talent, because now they could see that with the right demograhic behind you it is not necessary to be spectacular to win.
If Adam has won, it would have raised the bar. Who knows what kind of spectacular innovative talent we could have seen because somebody out there that was different, but spectacular, would have seen that maybe they had a chance. Who knows?

Nah, until they change the unlimited voting and the texting for AT&T only, there will never be another girl winner or a male of color. WGWG rule and if you are from the south, you got it in the bag!

Daughtry and Clay Aiken both has 2 albums that sold over platinum. Of the past winners, here are the ones who still have major label contracts: AI1 Kelly AI3 Fantasa AI4 Carrie AI6 Jordin working on 3rd album AI8 Kris 2 albums, 1 just released AI9 Scotty 1 album Platinum AI10 Phillip 0 albums

Q3.... This week, Adam had topped the charts and digital download both in US and Canada. Has any other Idol debut album accomplished same "top" honors? It is the 6th time for debut week -- and the 7th Idol alum album to have a #1 on both charts. (Daughtry did it in 2 different weeks in 2006.) Carrie Underwood has 3 #1 albums Blown Away 2012 #1 Billboard 200 #2 Digital Albums 1. Carnival Ride 2009 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital Albums 2. Play On 2007 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital AlbumsKelly has 2 #1 albums 3, All I Ever Wanted 2009 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital AlbumThankful 2003 #1 Billboard 200 [pre-dates Digital Album chart] Daughtry has 2 #1 albums ?? Daughtry 2006 #1 Billboard 200 (reached #1 in week 9 with 65,000 units, debuted at #2 with 304,000 units) #1 Digital Album (debut week) [/b] 4. Leave This Town 2009 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital Album[/b] Clay has 1 #1 album Measure of a Man 2003 #1 Billboard 200 [pre-dates Digital Album chart] Ruben Studdard has 1 #1 album Soulful 2003 #1 Billboard 200 [pre-dates Digital Album chart] Scotty McCreery has 1 #1 album 5. Clear As Day 2011 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital AlbumAdam Lambert has 1 #1 album 6. Trespassing 2012 #1 Billboard 200 #1 Digital Album[/quote] Q3, so this is for US and Canada, right ?
