Sauli's hands are in his pocket. You can see that in the pic. And the difference between record of the year and album of the year is that the record is a single. Song of the year goes to the writers, record of the year goes to the performers. Thanks for clearing that up. "Record" sounds odd to me because I associate it with an album...like...vinyl...the entire album. Throws me off each time I hear it. Agree. With singles pretty much only downloads now, they should change it to single of the year. Record sounds dated.

I'm afraid I will never appreciate rap. To me, it's not music--it's just an annoying form of talking. I agree with Eber, who tweeted awhile back that his goal was to live long enough to see the demise of rap.

I looked at the Huffington Post photos earlier and Adam wasn't even listed -- now he's #3. Ha! BTW -- since I'm on West Coast time, I just saw Muse not long ago, and they were FABULOUS! Amazing multi-media, too. Now I just got to watch Miranda Lambert pull her dress up on national TV--oops. Also -- Help ME! I have tried to load my avi about 5 times now and it won't do it. Any suggestions? I couldn't get an avi to load either. Maybe it didn't like the https site I was linking to or something. It just wouldn't stay saved in my profile. So I went to the old Adamtopia, open up my profile there, copied the url for my avi and pasted it here and it worked. Not particuraly elegant but I didn't have to create a new photobucket account. But I can't get pics to load in posts either now so I may eventually have to.

Eminem might write great poetry but I can rarely understand what he is saying even when he is not getting bleeped. Plus it all sounds the same, same beat, same rhythm. I can't wait for it to go away too.

I've never understood rap or hip hop - it kinda hurts my ears, but then I like Gregorian chants and Aztec/Celtic pan pipes, so I can also totally understand that others might not get 'that'. Definitely a 'whatever floats your boat' scenario Oh and a big *thud* to the Adam and Sauli photo. Lurve it when Adam is so toppy masterful *rips bodice and swoons*

I just lived thru my first Grammys ever... although with one eye so to speak and had to mute several times as my DD called and needed help...(luckily that happened during fetus time)... so....I think it was a great visual show... loved Muse and Arcade Fire (never heard of them before)... Katy Perry can't sing - I was embarrassed for her...Gaga - not interesting at all, neither visually nor musically... Loved Bob Dylan, too bad the band was too loud for him... Barbra and Mick were both great (I knew the song from the Blues Brothers movie, but I had no idea it was his song - typical me)... Country stuff was boring as hell, and Miranda Lambert is plain annoying... Lady Ant. winning everything possible was unfortunate IMO, bland is an understatement... Bruno - nice, small voice, would be pleasant in a lounge...looks sweet... Anyone who says (upstream) that Adam "is not ready" needs to rethink... He is miles ahead of all of them in every possible respect.... (I can't relate to rap at all, so leaving it alone)..
I am happy to be going to the opera tomorrow night - will wash all of this out of my brain/ears....
Need more pictures of Adam, he looked just too gorgeous to have only several "official" shots...
