I know the thread is dead but here on the West Coast Grammy's are still on. I just watched Mick's performance and in many ways I see Adam being similar to Mick. Mick put's out 100%, engages his audience and band. Controls the performance, you could see him signaling the band. And Mick is just larger than life out there on the stage. I think Adam is as well.

I'm still watching as well in the west, and I agree about Mick. I want to move like that when I'm 67!

It must be his explosive stage energy that keeps him such a wiry little mean-lean-machine!!! He just jumps around like a flea on speed.

Well...working my way backward I am now on page 86 where all of you were nervously waiting the award announcement. I need sleep so I'll finish the thread tomorrow. I'm not going to lie....I am disappointed Adam didn't win because he really deserved it. But he is now and forever known as GNAL and nobody can take that from him. Looking forward to the 2nd album and all that it brings...released singles, radio play, music videos, guest appearances, and TOURING !! So proud to be a GNAFL fan!! Good night all!

Whew! just caught up with the thread.
two things, both that I remember (hopefully correctly) from Adam's interviews after the Grammy Social Media summit.
He told Lyndsey that the heavy vocal layering (wall of sound) for the FYE album was partly because his voice was tired during the recording since it was while touring. Don't know if he was just politely taking the blame for perceived "overproduction" or if he really felt this way?
Two, I'm pretty sure that he said that the Aftermath remix was taking the original vocals from the studio/album aftermath, and remixing them with a dance beat. So I don't know if we will get different Aftermath vocals at all. I bet that we get something fun to dance to though!
All in all this week has been a huge win, though like all of you I am longing for more people to hear his crystalline vocals in public appearances, and it feels like it might be a long time.

Will we have to go cold turkey after this week? Tomorrow might be our transition day, but I fear it may be a little quiet after that. Scary !

Finally found where y'all gone to.. just got into Vancouver airport on my way back to the far east and had to login to find out the grammy situation and found out who won the best male vocal.. Anyhoo.. still happy with the nomination, a win will have been icing on the cake.
