??? ok, fresh out of the shadows.....yeah, there they are again (dot-dot-dots).....I sent a rather lengthy text msg to my daughter one recent day....her reply? "Oh, mom! you are SO elliptical!!"....but I digress: I've been trying to educate myself on the Help site, but I don't see how to reply to a particular posting, quoting it first, etc.
Am I looking in the wrong place? Appreciate the help!!!

I'd like to thank Adam not only for his incredible talent, style, and presence but for his dogged and consistent defense of his fanbase. During and right after idol the Glamberts were unfavorably compared to the Claymates ad nauseam. I don't think I ever heard anything positive about the Claymates from media. They were consider BSC and a severe detriment to Clay's career. Their reputation stunk to put it mildly. There were comparisons drawn between Claymates and Glamberts early on and interviewers in the beginning tried very hard to get Adam to denigrate his fans. Many celebrities tend to go along with the negative portrayal that the media likes to promote regarding BSC fans. Clay certainly didn't do anything of significance to defend his fanbase. Adam however never ever went along with this meme. He consistantly and determinedly defended his fans changing the interviewers characterization to passionate, loyal and loving and an important support of who he is as an artist. I noticed that it didn't take long at all for the most negative comments to subside and over time the fanbase portrayal in the media became more and more positive. I think the characterization of fans as older women took longer to subside than that of crazy people. In the last few months the media has more often than not used Adam's terms of passionate and loyal rather than crazy to describe the Glamberts but more importantly the tone of the comments have been that of awe and respect. We have become a big plus to Adam's career recognized as such by the media as well as being recognized as a force for good due to the charitable contributions that Adam has inspired. I truly don't think that shift would have happened had Adam not been so consistent in his defense of us.  The exact thought occurred to me recently after noticing the terminology/adjectives describing AFL's fans have become way more positive. You have expressed it beautifully. |

So does the red carpet live telecast start in an hour?? ??? The red carpet that starts at 3:30est is the red carpet for the non-televised awards. There is another red carpet at 6:15 est for the televised awards. Like this * 3:30-4:00PM (EST) – Grammy Red Carpet for the pre-telecast ceremony * 4:00-6:15PM (EST) – Pre-telecast ceremony (ADAM's Best Male Pop Vocal will be awarded towards the end of this time frame) * 6:15-8:00PM (EST) – Grammy Red Carpet for the televised awards * 8:00-11:00PM (EST) – Dual screen experience * 11:00PM-1:20AM (EST) – Grammy celebration The E! "Countdown to the Red Carpet" show starts at 5pm est The E! "Live from the Red Carpet" show starts at 6pm est- both on E!'s cable channel. |

Now this sent my hear a flutter: by Squirrely007 Single mom w/4 kids card's declined & she looked like she was going to cry. I paid for her groceries & then she did cry. #payitforward Not that people weren't generous before...but I wonder just how many small acts of kindness that we never even know about are played out/paid forward because of Adam and his generous attitude-of-gratitude--he pokes peeps, reminds us that giving feels good. |
