I think that's the literal interpretation but even when it's not about a romantic relationship most song writers turn it towards that because that's easiest to associate with. I think his relationship with Brad is far too removed for Take Back to be about him. JMO
We'll never who it was about probs but he did mention Brad in his album notes as his first love. Even though he's far removed, I think we all remember our first loves and first break-ups.August 25/11 mys*&@^#r , bocababe, mzsue and I had a little conversation about the Brad/Adam relationship. Rumours through a person/stalker who interviewed Abreea, Adam's hairdresser, came out on a fan website. I read it as an article link as it was set up very professionally.... but I now assume after this conversation of Atopers.... it may have been fan journalism. Supposedly Abreea said she thought Brad used Adam. A few of us remember the comment/"rumour", so my first thought was this song was about his first love relationship gone bad. As soon as I heard the lyrics... the taker part of the song... I made a leap as to "who". I agree another indicator was ...we own the night. They partied/costumed/were photographed/ written about by a photographer as a highlight of an event (blue face)...and entered costume contests. Obviously, everyone has a fault or maybe two...speaking for myself... and Adam and Brad are still friendly. By this time in Adam's life, it could even be more than one person he is referencing in Take Back. I wonder how soon after Take Back...Chokehold was written...seems to be a similar theme for Adam!!.... Oh all these "growing up" relationships and life pains one has to survive.

I think his relationship with Brad is far too removed for Take Back to be about him. JMO I would have thought so, too, except for the sweet acknowledgement to him in the liner notes and Adam's oft-stated statement that he's only been in love once in his life, and I think everyone agrees that was with Brad. I have no clue when Brad was in Adam's life, or anything about him actually, but evidently Adam made that remark before he met his Sauli.

So, I have to a little story to share ;D: My 14yo daughter has been an on-again, off-again Adam fan. She loved him on Idol and we went to see GNT but in the last year or so she hasn't been that interested. None of her friends are into him, she never hears him on the radio and she just kind of drifted away. She's all about One Direction and Carly Rae Whoever right now. When I downloaded Trespassing onto iTunes on the 15th, she made no move to listen to the songs and I didn't press her. I've learned enough by now not to try to force her to like anything. Yesterday, she comes home and says one her friends at school (8th grade), a 'popular girl' was wearing an Adam Lambert t-shirt . Someone asked about the shirt and she said something along the lines that she loved his music and then whispered to my daughter "and he's HOT" . Lo' and behold, last night, she asks me if she can download Trespassing onto her ipod. On the way out to school this morning, she declared Pop That Lock the best song ever made. OMG I could cry from happiness. My little girl has come back to the fold ;D! My story isn't quite as exciting and I'm anxious to see how mine turns out, but my 17 yr old granddaughter was texting me from the ortho's office last night and casually said she heard Adam had a new CD out. She's basically a country fan, Alabama born and bred, but when I asked if she'd like to hear it, the answer was a big, "Oh, I can't wait." I texted her back that I had one waiting for her (birthday in June) but wasn't sure whether to send it or not. She goes to a Christian HS, is quite protected, etc. So, I told her there were 2 swear words on it, one the "F" word and how would mom and dad feel about that. Her response, "Send it, I'll deal with them." I mailed it this morning and when I told her, she said it almost makes her wish school wasn't out because she drives 25 min each way to get there and she needed some new hot music. Keeping my fingers crossed because she runs with a huge crowd of great kids and her team is always looking for new, upbeat music to listen to during the often very long (2hrs sometimes) drives to tournaments.

Is there anyone out there besides me who hasn't yet received their copy of FAULT magazine? Just wondering if I'm the only one.
And does anyone have contact information for the magazine? Hi, everyone! I haven't posted in a while due to heavy RL responsibilities, but I have been lurking and (silently) celebrating all of the great Adam news along with you! Re: Fault, it is based in the UK, and I think one of the problems is that it has a small print circulation. According to their website, their total print circulation is only about 100,000 copies per issue, sold primarily in the UK: ¡UK circulation 55,518 ¡ USA 19,171 ¡Europe 15,610 ¡Rest of the world 7,676 ¡Total circulation 97,975 (4.1 readers/copy; readership approx. 401,000) (As a comparison, in the U.S., Better Homes and Gardens has a circulation of about 7.6 million, People is about 3.5 million and Vanity Fair is 1.2 million.) So, it appears that all of the orders from the U.S. for the Adam issue overwhelmed their system, resulting in all of these delays. Fault is based in the UK. The only address I could find on their website is: Fault London Office: Suite 7 40 Craven Street London WC2N 5NG United Kingdom Or, you could try email: FAULT GENERAL ENQUIRIES: info@fault-magazine.com Good luck -- I hope that everyone gets their copies of the magazine!
