SOCIALITE LIFE @socialitelife VIDEO: Adam Lambert's facial expression says it all ow.ly/ba1uMNo Love Lost Between Adam Lambert And Clay Aiken The thing is...Adam isn't at all a bitch. He's a remarkably generous and open-hearted guy who is incredibly supportive of others in the business. Yet by Cohen's going there and Adam's responding, even with a non-response of sorts, it gets taken out of context and just sinks to the bitch level AND potentially ignites the stupid fan wars. Ick. Adam could have 'pleaded the fifth' ... but he didn't. He knew what he was doing and didn't care ... he knew the websites would pick it up. Wasn't Andy's fault ... he always gives them an out.

I am pissed of this, why do people chatting loudly all the time, why do not they listen to Adam? That makes my heart hurt. Adam is trying so damned hard. He is singing his face off at 7:30 in the morning after doing that TV show late last night. And audience members talk thru it? No respect. No manners. Not for Adam, or for other members of the audience. It is so difficult, as a performer, to ignore that and keep on doing your thing. Frustrating. Demeaning even. Pearls before swine. Good thing Adam has experience and a strong belief in his own ability and his own voice. He focuses on the positive and keeps his forcefield up. Still, at 7:30 in the AM a small voice has to be saying, "Fuck this shit. I'm going back to bed!" It does seem hurtful, Cassie, but when I worked at HOB I used to be amazed and appalled that people bought tickets then talked, drank, walked around all thru performance, and it wasn't just for unknowns, it was for Train, Bonnie Raitt, Paramore, even Daughtry. Oh well, as you said, Adam knows the score on this type of thing and will press on through.

Huge thanks to that lovely Finnish atoper who posted the photobucket link to yesterday evening's Andy show! Sorry that don't remember your name and not going to search for it because I still have some of today's material to go through.
That pb worked for me unlike coral's ustream or gale's vimeo. Now I know a little bit what you were talking about here. Unfortunately I couldn't understand much of what Beth was saying. The programme was very much stand-up comedy style, haven't ever seen anything like that. I found it interesting and funny, but also demanding for the guests. Wondering how can they find good guests if it is broadcasted 4 times per week?
From the audio of this morning's performance I could listen to Shady and NCOE - and Shady was sooo gooood! Anxiously waiting to hear the rest of it. Also there better be tapes of the Kirby show tonight because I really do want to hear Chokehold when I get up tomorrow!

I just found an interesting article that makes me really glad that Adam competed on Idol when he did, and that 19 Recordings/RCA gave him what was essentially as good as the deal they gave Kris Allen for winning (and which of course, turned out to be a big win for everybody!). According to this story, Idol’s and 19/RCA’s Powers That Be have decided they no longer want to be generous in rewarding runners-up.
It’s a long article, and you can read the complete piece at tv.msn.com/reality-tv/idol-moves-toward-lower-payouts-for-runners-up/story/.
If you just want a short version, the main details are:
1. Jessica Sanchez doesn’t have a definite shot at recording an album, and she may be paid as little as $30,000 in advance for recording singles (though of course she’ll be paid for being on the Idol summer tour).
2. If Jessica is offered an album deal (which is not guaranteed), she’ll get $175,000 as previous runners-up have.
3. Idol’s producers say they’re making the change because contracts for most Idol alumni haven’t paid off well in terms of song sales, and most alumni haven’t established thriving careers. The producers also mentioned that even established artists are struggling to sell full albums.
I feel bad for Jessica, because I think she deserves more, and I’m hoping her career takes off. But t his story makes me even happier than I already was that Adam’s doing well, and looks like he’ll be one of the few ex-Idols to be a long-term success.

Ick. trust me if Adam had said anything nice the Claymates would've just said Adam was trying to use Clay's "high profile" fresh off Celebrity Apprentice to get PR for himself. Adam is in a no win situation as far as Clay's fans go so he's better off saying nothing at all. The look on is face was hysterical and appropriate. This will cycle thru news blogs for 24 hours and then it will be gone. No big deal.

Nope, 2 1/2 years and I still don't want to watch it again. The vocals were so not Adam's usual and I brings back the heart racing feeling I had when it was over. I don't care if I EVAH see/hear it again. EMAs, watched 100 times, AMAs once IS enough.AMAs - once was TOO much. I never want to see that truly sad sorry performance again. It took me weeks to get over the sick feeling that I got watching that mess. :-/ Can't help but chime in (again, like the billion'th time sine the AMA:s...): I am forever greatfull for the AMA performance because IMO it made Adam into the international start that he is today. It made everyone NOTICE him. It made him look like a hero-with balls- and the US media and various pearl clutchers as a laughing stock. He might've lost some US peeps (and these would've peeled off at some point anyway) but he GAINED THE WORLD! and for that - I LOVE THE AMA PERFORMANCE!

Precisely. This won't even be an issue anymore by the time we're cleaning off our BBQ grills Monday night.

Marlena glamarlenaLol just accidentally ran into Adam. He was wearing the exact same clothes as this morning. I ran away from him so as not have to endure awkward elevator conversation I told him I saw him this morning. He said something but I don't remember Yes I am!!!

Yeah, I will not watch that performance again. Embarrassing and difficult to get through. Although great save on the fall. It's true I was not sure whether he fell or did not on purpose at first, but my adrenaline gets enough pumping at work. Adam brings me joy. That performance did not bring me joy, however, the press it brought was priceless, and now that he has more success, I guess it is not totally surprising that it would come up again. Regarding the Clay/Adam unpleasantness, Clay was not nice to Adam in the press early on when he could have been neutral. I think Adam has a long memory.
