ITA on the humidity. Lived in PA for a long time, and well remember having to peel myself off the sticky sheets when my alarm went off in the morning. It's hotter in AZ, but because the air is dry you don't feel it so much - unless the temps climb over 115 degrees or so.
Even though the humidity in DC made Adam uncomfortable, isn't it easier on the vocal cords when you're in a humid climate? Am I right about this, voice experts?ETA: I stand corrected. According to ehow.com, humidity makes it hard for singers to stay on key, especially if they haven't hydrated properly: "Humid weather makes it easier to hit flat notes and harder to stay on key because hot, humid conditions cause dry mouth. A dry mouth and throat puts more tension on vocal cords, making it more difficult to control the vibration, and thus pitch and tone, of the notes created by the vocal cords. Humid air is full and wet, feeling heavier than dry air. It is more difficult to breathe in quickly and deeply, which makes it more difficult to sing on key. Dehydration caused by the heat and slower breathing can cause untrained, and even trained but unprepared, singers to falter on their notes."
I haven't been to Arizona but I have spent some time in Morroco in the desert. I was so stunned to find out that after only a week, the hair on my airs and legs really grew. I guess it's nature's way of protecting yourself from such dry conditions. In any case, except for the hair thing, I LOVED the dry heat. I was wondering about Adam and humidty as I thought maybe on the west coast near the ocean that humidty would be a factor. I guess not. Now I'm wondering if everyone in Arizona is hairy

I love Adam, I love Tommy. I love Adam more but we had Adam-centric shots of almost every show he's ever done so I don't mind seeing more Tommy for once as long as we get the voice!

I have no problem with the fan focusing on Tommy when he's being highlighted for a solo or briefly throughout the performance here and there which is what this person seemed to do.
Honestly, with those shorts I was kinda happy to not have to see them for short periods of time while still being able to enjoy the voice lol.
Tommy's impressed me lately with his guitar playing and I admit to being skeptical at first when he was moved from bass to guitar because I was never thrilled with his bass playing skills. He's a much better guitar player than bass player that's for sure.

Thanks, haribert for taking the time to look this up. scroll alert. I'm a veteran of MI, OH, IN, AZ, and CA coast and CA inland, and now PA. I got so I could tolerate AZ until it reached 110, but one has to put up with sandstorms and the inversion layer( PHX is in a valley) in the "dry" heat, same with central CA only without the inversion layer. I remember a couple of summers in MI and OH when the kids were little without air conditioning and life comes to a halt-and one summer the kids had chicken pox!! I'm in Western PA now, and no problems so far. But I have air, thank heavens. I cannot tolerate either sauna or steam baths. My breathing just shuts down.
So I can't imagine how Adam (and band) made it through the oppressive humidity. I've often thought venues should hose down Adam fans, but not because of the heat and humidity in the air! LOL.

When you're not used to it, it is hard to breath. Surprised Adam could sing at all! Californians do not do well with humidity. But I thought Adam said it's good for his voice.. I think when he was in Singapore or Malaysia he said that.

Wonder if she is one of those nutty adommy fans - or do they still exist. Maybe she is just a big Tommy fan. As much as I appreciate the band and the singers, and I do, they ARE backup to Adam. I am an Adam stan and I want to see my Adam. If she would label her videos as Tommy, then I will know not to bother with them.
I say this especially because I am on a slow-speed dialup and it takes 45 min to one hour to load a three-minute video. I don't want to waste my time on non-Adam focused things.
