It's a little early to abandon hope, guys. Let's at least wait until the Adds Day is closed. Who knows what will happen? so true but I think some of are are so invested in the add date and now we feel let down. I haven't given up hope just EXTREMELY disappointed Need to take a valium..or something It just seems like Adam has to fight for everything when he is an extraordianary talent.

Sage, I agree with just about everything you have said. I believe there is a problem with his "perceived demographic." Adam mentioned "my demographic" when answering a question about radio politics. SO many DJs, when interviewing him, make their first questions/comments about the fans; from Seacrest to Larry Flick. He is trying everything he can to bring in that CHR valuable younger audience with things like that Fantabuloso concert but it can't be easy. At least where I live AI is just considered so uncool.

To mé, it does and the name of the game is called 'pretense'. Tell mé, wouldn't it have Been very obvious if they had not played any of his singles or is there any explanation for pretending? I would buy your reasoning if you explain to me how an album that is universally acclaimed with loads of buzz for both it and the artists, debuted at no. 1, posted fairly good nos on Billboard without a radio prescence when other songs need to be spun and spun on radio to even start charting, has raved about Pop songs etc is struggling to get played? Waiting patiently for you to tell me what the problem could be Lionel Richie has a best selling album right now too, selling better than Adam actually. He's not exactly all over the radio. I would venture to say also, younger people aren't buying the album. It's a demographic perception. What you failed to add in your post though is hé Like Carrie is not promoting his song to Pop, neither is hé a Pop artist or marketed as one. What demographic are you talking about? Have you taken a look at the Pulse CHR board? All the artists there are Adam age group except for a few teen acts like Bieber, OneDirection and co. Isn't Stefano from the same AI or what is the arguement here exactly since he is picking up adds and already charting?

Yeah...and the problem is so many are offended when this is pointed out. I'm not saying if one is older they shouldn't enjoy Adam or go to his shows. But when age 40+ women are wrapping themselves in caution tape or dressed up like younger fans do for a Gaga concert, that draws attention. And the radio people are looking at that and it also scares off the younger fans from being as visible. They know those women do not have the latest Nicki Minaj song downloaded to their ipod. I don't care what the music sounds like, how much "dance beat" it has to it. They know that demographic is not listening to their station on a regular basis. The older fans are the most visible and drawing the most attention to themselves, thus the younger fans he has are overshadowed and keeping a lower profile cause they don't want to get in the middle of fans the same age as their parents and grandparents.

I need to get this point across Q102 does NOT have this song in rotation Fans are voting for the 10@10 and Othat's when it is played. I Have NOT heard it Played during the DAY. PERIOD1 SHIT ON Q102 I'm so disgusted (they are playing the 2nd singles of other artists who performed at the Spingle Ball - but no Adam! I know you keep saying that, but only on the 10 at 10 would mean 5 spins for the week and the song has double that. Fair enough, but spinning a song when the potential customers cannot hear it in the dead of the night wouldn't make such people know that it's been played on the radio too.

gbam, don't think it has anything to do with his sexuality. Not from these big city stations. They played WWFM and IIHY a lot! Even Z100. I have no idea what is going on with Q and Boston, especially because of that radio site ad that said they added. Very confused right now. To mé, it does and the name of the game is called 'pretense'. Tell mé, wouldn't it have Been very obvious if they had not played any of his singles or is there any explanation for pretending? Waiting patiently for you to tell me what the problem could be The problem is that radio PDs are sheep. They follow, they do not lead! Unless something unusual happens. Like a single becoming so popular on i-Tunes that they have to play it, ie: Gotye. Sorry, but I do not think Adam's sexuality is keeping him from being added on these big Top 40 stations. If that were the reason, it'd be the smaller towns reluctant to add. If I had a definitive answer, I would give you one. But I do not think it is Adam's sexuality.

Wow this forum is schizophrenic today! The news list is loaded with really fabulous reviews for the MV. All kinds of HeWhoCannot amedets for this to be the summer of Lambert. And here we are in despair over the pernicious lack of PD support on US radio. Don't know how this will settle out but my money is on resistance ending - perhaps not right away. It might take the UK breakthrough that seems to be inevitable.
How I wish US radio was totally irrelevant
