(Btw, shameless plug ahead, the first 10 minutes of The Avengers with all those plasma effects were done by a company in LA called Hydraulx using a piece of software called Krakatoa which I co-develop as part of my current job). I LOVE SHAMELESS PLUGS AND I HAVE A GREAT IDEA!!! 1) YOU CAN DO ALL THE SPECIAL EFFECTS ON ADAM'S VIDEOS!! 2) KANADIE CAN BE THE SOUND GUY FOR ALL ADAM'S CONCERTS!! 3) AND GELLY CAN ORGANIZE ADAM'S CLOTHES AND BE HIS STYLIST!! Just think of all the inside scoops we could get at ATOP!!! ;D

WELL maybe viewing it ----sitting in the dark in the middle of the night ----is not the optimum time. Had no life to it...maybe that is the point...no life until the release at the end. So recycling ..using his new t-shirt in a recent concert. I wanted to see more of Adam and gang dancing.... full length with fewer cut aways ...to give it a rythm. Yah! Give credit though for taking a twist on the song---as he said he likes to do ... versus the straightforward approach so many other artist's vids take. WELL off to CLOSE MY EYESDitto that ^^^!

LOL... I think I like staring at the gifs better than the actual video!! I HAVE A QUESTION: I've never been a wildly enthusiastic music vid person = I'll watch a video a few times (maybe) and then that'll be it. Do you guys re-watch music vids many MANY times? Like, REGULARLY? (and I'm not talking about re-playing an Adam video a gazillion times so the count goes up) Do you regularly watch the videos because you love them and you need the visual stuff to go with the music? Just curious. Like that Party Rock lmfao vid has over 441,700,000 hits. I'm assuming that peeps are re-watching that vid many many times? I guess because they love it so much? ???

Wow guys Love getting new artefacts from Adam and reacting to them and hearing other peoples' reactions. I agree with a number of the comments made so far. Here are some things I felt having watched it only two times before having to work: The positive: There are some really good things about the video: the concept is one of my faves: never close our eyes ie stay or get open, mindful and stay vibrantly alive! - this has got to be a fundamental adam-theme - something he really stands for, no wonder he loved the proposal by the director Ori ). the costumes - especially at the end - wow i never knew neon could look so good. Yum yum yum. the lighting - loved the light when they ran down the corridor and other bits i cant even remember now. Good settings. some good visuals. and most of all - i think adam looks so utterly gorgeous - prolly more gorgeous than he has in any other video (with light-dark leather adam and light fluffy adam being contenders for that too). I am so gonna get into those juice fasts! ;D Adam also I think restrained some of his expressions which I think works! He has such presence that that in itself communicates great intensity without him havng to emote everything tot he fullest through his facial gestures. The thing that didnt work for me: There was a slowness or lack of life and rhythm in the video for the most part. I think the director got caught up with reflecting the melody line (which is romantic, slower, drawn out) and his theme - drones drones drones; and missed the prompt of the heavy industrial beat which might suggest some more movement, rythmn and viscerality. There were moments when I wanted Adam to do some of his gorgeous, lightning-quick movements even before he escaped. You know, as a hint of his mounting inner rebellion. Camera angles/shots: would agree with others about full body shots - aopparently Astaire had that as a rule . And other angled shots. Interestingly: earlier on i looked at one of Ori's earlier MVC and it had a theme of "ultimate pointlessness" and "meaninglessness". Can i speculate that Ori is fascinated by that theme in life and Adam is fascinated by popping everyone's lock. Polar opposites. But coming together to make this video. And perhaps Ori's vision dominates? Cant wait to read everyone else's views and reactions.

I think its because ppl use youtube music videos for listening to music that they don't value enough to actually download, but still want to listen to. Like guilty pleasure sorta music. At least thats my opinion from personal experience and my friends.

Is it because I'd rather imagine scenes in my head than watch one (even if its the singer's) manifestation of it? idk yet. I cant explain party rock LMFAO. Ive noticed that in this internet connected world some products just take of like a juggernaut. And its not about their merit. some are bad, some are good, but none are good enough to merit that kind of attention. They just seem to catch a wave you know? or ping in some age cohort. idk

Adam is like Merlin in that vid! He obviously has some magic since he can do that dark blue/purple mist stuff. Pretty neat. Sleep/awake thing reminds me of Big Brother. Cute.

It isn't a movie. The special effects can't be at that level (and didn't bother me at all). The plot and character development can't be at a movie level either. I think this video does so much more than the average video but still falls a little short to us because it has us wanting more. I wish the happy ending (dance) wasn't so short and choppy--made it hard to "feel" the joy and the music. But I wonder if, as obsessed fans, we just want more because we can never get enough. People will notice this video and that's what we need!
And one thing that is unbelievable about it--and I don't usually go on and on about this--is that Adam truly looks great in it. Every second. His acting skills are so good and it's almost like they had an unlimited budget to make him gorgeous. Only we all know that it's natural. But...how can it be so?!
