Video thoughts, both futuristic and retro at the same time (bit like the music) - no mean feat...

Is a very different vibe to BTIKM but both are very conceptual. I like that he doesn't just stand and sing the song with stuff happening around him (like 90% of videos), but gives a different view under the meaning and lyrics of the song.

It isn't a movie. The special effects can't be at that level (and didn't bother me at all). The plot and character development can't be at a movie level either. I think this video does so much more than the average video but still falls a little short to us because it has us wanting more. I wish the happy ending (dance) wasn't so short and choppy--made it hard to "feel" the joy and the music. But I wonder if, as obsessed fans, we just want more because we can never get enough. People will notice this video and that's what we need! And one thing that is unbelievable about it--and I don't usually go on and on about this--is that Adam truly looks great in it. Every second. His acting skills are so good and it's almost like they had an unlimited budget to make him gorgeous. Only we all know that it's natural. But...how can it be so?! Kay that was my take away as well. I was up way, way early this morning, but didn't watch the video because I would wake the house going into the office to switch on the computer, so I read the first 6 pages or so on my phone. From reading the comments, I thought the video was going to be bad. Now that I've watched it, its not the best thing since sliced bread, but its better than a good portion of the videos out there. Considering he doesn't have a hit to riding into this video, they probably didn't give him much of a budget. I think he did fabulous with what they gave him. When he starts scoring #1s and has a boring video then I'll start complaining. At this point I'm just happy that he isn't singing in the desert.ETA: I actually like this vid better than BTIKM for what its worth.

Well...way less than BTIKM I'm guessing I have no idea what's going on here, both me and my whole twitter feed love it to distraction and have already started making awesome gifs! I swear sometimes his own fans set the bar impossibly high for Adam, it's not a movie with a limitless Hollywood budget. But it is a gorgeously art directed video that isn't your run of the mill concept, with several possible layers of meaning, plus a bonus superfun dancey ending that leaves you wanting more. Which means people will replay it. Which means they will hear the song multiple times, possibly leading to dropping $1.29 on the track. Nothing but win!

Yesterday was crammed full of one event after another with the awesome Canadian promo, from multiple radio interviews to the NML hosting gig to the HMV signing, also with late vids and pics from Freshtival still pouring in. And that was following radio concert after radio concert for the last week. Hah we're not machines, we can't flail 24x7.

Maybe...I only watched up to about the 4 min mark. I only liked the first 2 minutes. Sorry. I'm not going to love everything Adam does. I loved BTIKM way better. This was just...nothing special to me, sorry. :-/
