Rolling Stone Magazine has a short review of the Glamnation DVD. They gave it 3 out of 5 stars. The review is on page 68. Did not see a mention of this in the thread but someone could have posted a link earlier. Anyway, here are some excerpts: Moving at a frantic pace that befits its subject, this 67 minute CD-DVD set captures Lambert on his first solo tour, showing off his sometimes uneasy, often triumphant hybrid of glam rock, Broadway, and dance pop....... Barefoot and overdressed, this Mad Hatter changes costumes often while guitarist Monte Pitman shreds........ He often comes across like an actor playing a rocker rather than the real thing, but Lambert's charisma and considerable chops compensate for his lingering staginess. First mention of Adam in Rolling Stone for over a year, I believe. Would they say someone like Freddie Mercury was "stagey"? He was the ULTIMATE camp man I mean come on. Bowie? Gaga? But no...Adam is the one pretending to be something. LOL. It just makes me laugh.

Can't wait til I get my GNT CD tomorrow! I'm going to have to get another one or two.... I know I'm going to wear that thing out! I have cleared my afternoon tomorrow in anticipation of the arrival of my DVD. I'm going to the beach early, but our UPS guy is usually here by 2pm, so I will be, also. I am so excited. I went to Walmart today for something else, but checked and no DVD or CD. Rummaged through CD's found one FYE buried in Miranda Lambert stack, so put it in front. He's prettier than he is, anyway. About the re-reading: I read ATLAS SHRUGGED once a year or so, have read SAMURAI probably 10 or 12 times. They are epic reads, but I love long, long involved stories. Movies: Have seen BREATHLESS (Richard Gere) 25 or so times, THE BIG CHILL, about the same. On the lighter side, watched last 30 minutes of MOONSTRUCK on AMC this afternoon, it's another one that I have a hard time passing up when it is on.

Just finished catching up with todays thread. I am exhausted :-/with all the failing. Everyone is so excited. I am trying not to listen or watch anything, but that may not last. I won't get my CD/DVD until Monday...I want it this weekend...more time. Alison Alsion, I certainly hope Sasha makes it, but the talent on that show is amazing. I have saved programs on my DVR from 2 years ago. I love watching the dancing over and over. Maybe they will use Adam's songs this year. Marie 23 wrote My guilty pleasure too, but I am so bad I didn't even notice the shirt. I will have to go back and look at that episode. Thanks Now off to Idol thread to see what everyone is saying. Happy Failing all you lucky people who have your DVD!!

On the Rolling Stone review --
1. A 3 from RS is good -- they are harsh critics. According to Metacritic:
For 2,740 reviews, Rolling Stone has graded:
* 34% higher than the average critic * 3% same as the average critic * 63% lower than the average critic
2. RS was not a fan of Bowie or Freddy in the 70's and 80's -- only in the rear view mirror.

One more thing before I go to Idol.
"Life is unpredictable. Eat dessert first."
Does anyone have the link to RS mag article?

I haven't read the Britney review, but I saw that it had four starrs. IMO, all their credibility went out the window.
