guiltypop.com/post/24159100404/adam-lambert-never-close-our-eyes-you-guysAdam Lambert — “Never Close Our Eyes” You guys, I’m obsessed with this song. Like, legitimately obsessed to the point that I can’t stop playing it at full volume in my car, my apartment, on my iPod… everywhere. I also can’t stop singing it.
Basically, I’m annoying everyone around me with my never-ending parade of this flawless pop masterpiece. [snorts] yeah, yeah, whatever ... yawn. Sounds like a normal day in Adamland.

www.aux.tv/2012/05/top-5-pop-tracks-may/Top 5 Pop Tracks: May May 31, 2012 Aaron Zorgel Each month, tons of new music from many taste-spanning genres is released into a fast-consuming, unforgiving market; it can be tough to get a handle on what’s new before it’s on to the next. In an attempt to highlight the standout releases, at the end of each month, AUX staff re-cap the month in Punk, Metal, Indie/Pop/Rock, Hip Hop, Electronic, and Pop with the top five releases in each. Consider it your cheat sheet for year-end lists. TOP 5 POP TRACKS: MAY ... Adam Lambert – “Shady” feat. Sam Sparro and Nile Rodgers This month, Adam Lambert became the first openly gay musician to have a number one record on the Billboard 200, and while this is a major achievement, the focus of Trespassing’s success should be based on music, and not sexuality. Trespassing is a collection of electro-pop triumphs and confessional ballads that showcase Lambert’s soaring vocals, with personnel comprised of pop music’s premiere hitmakers, such as Dr. Luke, Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Bonnie McKee, and Benny Blanco. The dark and sleazy “Shady” just might be the finest offering on Trespassing; at times sounding (and I can’t believe I’m writing this) somewhat like a combination of the dark synth-scapes of Trent Reznor and the funky new-wave instincts of Prince. It’s a strange, but satisfying musical stew, with three-part harmony and funky guitar work all over it. Adam Lambert isn’t the first Idol-alumni to conquer the charts (see: Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson), but he’s definitely the most unlikely artist to find acceptance there. And, it’s well-deserved. ...

Highlight of May? Runnin'!!! ;D I'm a bit scared of it now though, listening in CD quality with headphones on there are these scary echo-y voices in the background surrounding me in the verses... 2:56 - 3:02 of Runnin is Nirvana!!!
All of Runnin' is Nirvana to me - but I do agree about that segment.

Any additional comments about this. I just missed except for the last one minute... Remember that off the cuff statement about AI that KA made at the airport? Something about time to hang it up? They asked Adam about it, and WOW, did he take it in a great direction. Said KA was probably referring to the fact that for him, and for Adam, that is in the past. They have moved on to their careers. He loves AI but it's not a part of his present life (broadly paraphrasing, but manages to make KA look good, Idol look good, and steer the topic away from 3 year old news). WOW.. WOW.. I haven't watched the video yet.. but WHO ELSE can do this??? NO AI OR JUDGES people can change the direction. They're trying to trick Adam to comment on it, but he took it away.. LOL... however if Adam was in the hot seat or in Kris' position I don't think Kris can do it the way Adam does.
