This is classic punk apocalyptic song about rebelling against the establishment was released in 1979. The lyrics list many ways the world could end, including the coming of the ice age, starvation, and war. The title came from the BBC World Service's radio station identification: "This is London calling..." Rolling Stone magazine named this the best album of the '80s, even though It was actually released in December, 1979.

The good thing about Adam being in full-on promo mode is that there is no shortage of goodies to be enjoyed. The problem is that despite filing multiple protests, a day is only 24 hours long, and even after cutting out unnecessary extras like socializing, working, and sleeping, there is still not enough time to keep up. But even though I am hopelessly behind, I want to take a moment to thank all the lovely fans who work so hard to gather the goods and share them with others.

As we head into the UK promo and Queen-related phase of this era, I know we have wonderful fans who will collect, share, and archive all the wonderful upcoming happenings. We have a lot to look forward to over the next few weeks, and thanks to our kind friends in the UK, we'll have quick translations from British to English. (I've never been to the UK, but people who eat things like clotted cream, spotted dick, and treacle get nothing but respect in my book )

Thanks to many lovely tech-savvy persons in the fandom, there isn't a single performance that isn't recorded from multiple angles and swiftly posted. Every radio interview is ripped and uploaded within minutes of broadcast. TV appearances are streamed in real-time, and before long we have downloadable versions in LQ, HQ, mp3, and kjxpbw@&#! formats, depending on your needs.

If Adam pauses somewhere for a photo, it is quickly tweeted out for all to share. The fandom then takes over and helpfully crops out extraneous parts (other people). Professional photographs are also subjected to fan-editing. A particularly desirable photo can be enjoyed in its original form, or else in black-and-white, soft-focus, or Warhol-esque pop colors.

If you're in the mood for humor, fans provide amusing captions to pictures. If you want to be inspired—someone has taken a fierce quote of Adam's and given it just the right background. And of course there is a gif for every mood, capturing every aspect of Adam's personality in tiny mesmerizing clips.

But best of all are the conversations. How many hundreds of thousands of words have we shared about Adam over the past 3+ years? We've shared good times and bad, endured painful –gates, celebrated special occasions, and discussed every possible thing about Adam from the frosted tips of his hair to the soles of his shoes. The fandom's collective memory contains every single factoid about Adam and his career, to the point where we can't even think of questions to ask when prompted. Even Adam realizes that we know more about his comings and goings than he does himself.

Adam has accomplished many awesome things, and one of the best is that he has attracted a beautiful, diverse, gifted fandom that collectively shares some of his best qualities—humor, generosity, intelligence, and kindness. Like I said—best fandom ever!
