Ohh Good!! So it means his sales can be 7500-10k this week?? 50% from last week? No, it means that 54% of the retailers have reported. Not iTunes or Amazon, I believe as well as some Walmart sales, which are usually reported the 2nd day. You can not extrapolate from this number. Just to clarify this a bit -- Amazon does not report sales to HDD -- only 7 retailers report to HDD -- but those 7 retailers represent about 85% of US sales. HDD forecasts the missing sales and does a great job of hitting the right number.

Why a sad face? 5 adds is good and 3 of them are new spinners. That means his spins will inccrease. :-/ Jazz, I just checked the Q add for BTIKM and it was a Tuesday, when they added. My fav station Q102 almost always reports on Tuesday almost all Top 40 stations report on Tuesday. Q102 = Q1+0+2 = Q3 It is the "numbers thread". **** I am happy with the HAC adds -- 5 with 3 new spinner = headed up the chart.

DS got 18 HAC adds today. It's a grower like MKIA and more HAC than Pop. Give it time, it will end up doing very well on both charts. Why would you expect DS to get the same type of adds a KP song gets? Kelly hasn't had six #1s off of this album like Katy had off of hers, she has only had one. KP is a special snowflake! IDK, I just would expect her to get Pop adds faster because Stronger was #1 for many weeks and has sold well past 2 million. Stronger had over 100 adds before its adds date. I wouldn't expect Darkside to have that much, but I would expect more than 2. By the time Stronger's add date rolled around, the song was inside the top 30 on CHR with a bullet of 1300 and was in the top 5 on iTunes. Of course it was getting early adds! A #1 smash comes along once in a blue moon (for those not named Katy Perry) and Stronger just happened to be that type of song. Darkside is an entirely different song, it will perform more like MKIA, without the benefit of being the lead single. This will be a slower climb up the chart. DS still got 18 HAC adds in one day....I would take those types of adds in a single radio format for NCOE at any time!

I know it doesn't make sense, but I do think radio PD's notice what a song is doing on iTunes. And they notice when a song can't crack the top 100. For the life of me, I can't see what was accomplished with the 18-city radio tour. And that is really sad. How is the song doing internationally? Or is it too soon to tell? I'm seriously ready to throw in the towel when it comes to the US. eta---The iHeart radio videos were posted right away last time... I'm thinking that all the 18 city radio tour did was get BTIKM to #17 on HAC. :( NCOE started out so well and then leveled out the last few weeks, IDK what happened. It's not like Adam wasn't doing a ton of promo and radio concerts! This next month will be a killer as far as radio promo in the states. Maybe things will go better, MUCH better in the UK this time around!

Maybe RCA should expand their efforts in another direction - like getting a few videos like this going viral. This may not make sense, but watch this and go to bed happy. Good night, all.

Too early to tell how big a bump the period around adds will get the song at this point IMO.

Do you mean next month might be a bigger downhill for the sales 'cuz Adam will be overseas and no U.S. promo presence whatsoever, meanwhile everybody else will be "rolling in the deep" with it? (and, I second that.) There were times that I really couldn't help but scratch my head about RCA's dealings and handlings. Although, Adam did say the promo in general would very well last into 2013, without big radio hits/decent airplay, it's gonna be a long haul uphill for our man, for sure! (I need a sign, RCA!)
I'm hoping for a better result this time around in the U.K. (I mean, c'mon! that UK pr girl has worked her tail off & pulled all the stops this era!) And, I'm counting on all the Asian love for Adam, especially from Japan! (looking forward to the Japanese chart next week. )
