I agree Tigerlily, CHR is where NCOE should fit naturally. This is a song that should be climbing CHR and then cross over to HAC. So, I won't worry too much about what happens on HAC if it keeps getting the pop spins.

Well, that was expected, right? The song isn't really selling much.

If you are from the SF Bay Area, please request NCOE on Alice. They've only played it once today early in the morning and they usually play him four times a day. I am worried that they are also decreasing spins.

People, please explain this to me: we all flail and cheer for the adds... and the adds keep coming while the spins are not growing and on some days decrease... so, wtf is the difference if the songs are added but not spun?

People, please explain this to me: we all flail and cheer for the adds... and the adds keep coming while the spins are not growing and on some days decrease... so, wtf is the difference if the songs are added but not spun? This is my concern. I'm watching the spins everyday and comparing them to a few artists who are getting incredible spins per day and these are the songs that are making it to the top 10 as well as selling on iTunes. I know this song is geared for top 40 but HAC has been spinning it and if it reaches to the top 10 for HAC, the pop top 40 most likely picks it up and yes HAC stations are playing POP songs. My god, I hear stronger, pay phone which is NOT hac, etc etc the adds this week, How many are spinning this song during the DAY?????? Point being as I noted earlier, spins are decreasing rather than hugh increase in spins. Maybe it was a fluke today but still I never want to see a decrease in spins as well as AI. Absolutely no presence on iTunes. this scares me. Maybe its too early to get nervous, but radio at the moment, doesn't seem to be embracing this song. IDK maybe Im a worry wort

The problem isn't that the new adds aren't spinning, it is that the older adders are decreasing their spins.

People, please explain this to me: we all flail and cheer for the adds... and the adds keep coming while the spins are not growing and on some days decrease... so, wtf is the difference if the songs are added but not spun? a) the spins are growing and have been growing. Brief dips in spins for a day or two are nothing to worry about, and sometimes even one station decreasing spins a lot can do that. Sometimes that station increases again, sometimes other stations take up the slack. Again a fluctuation of a few days is not a big deal. Songs can even reverse progress for a week or so, then start trending upward again. For me older stations slowing is motivation to remind people around fandom to request from them again. b) spins are more important than adds, but all but 2 of the stations who have added in the last few days have spun already. (3 if you add in CHUM). give them a few days at least ETA: anyone who wonders if they are a worrywart can just search this site for their last 50 posts or so and all will be revealed.

ITunes matters; radio is making decisions based on this. Or, at least some stations. I heard that new Phillip Phillips song ( which sounds exactly like Mumford and Sons to me)TWICE today on WTMX. During the day. Twice. And this is the station that never spun BTIKM during the day, and generally won't spin a new artist until he's cracked the top #15. So PDs notice what is selling.
Anyway, as others have said, a one day spin decrease isn't anything to worry about. It's not really unusual. And I would guess that the song will rebound tomorrow. Happy to see Adam in People Magazine (he deserved an actual article, but maybe sometime down the road)
Quick question, regarding the Queen concerts, do you think he will get much buzz from this in the US? Months ago I was certain he would, know I'm not so sure.
