how do the BTIKM and NCOE HAC AI compare? also how does the Top 40 AI and chart placement compare (fewer data points, but it might be interesting to see) Unfortunately, I neglected to record AI for either HAC or Top 40 when I was tracking BTIKM chart performance back in the winter. My impression is that NCOE is doing better on HAC AI for its chart position than BTIKM was, but I don't know for sure. For Top 40, on 2/10/12 (closest date to the 7th add week I recorded from the Pulse board), BTIKM was #65 with 183 spins and a +44 move. The most recent data for NCOE from 6/2/12 has it at #67 with 119 spins and a +43 move. Again AI may be running ahead of BTIKM at this point but I don't know for sure. Kworb at Pulse has a site with good records that included AI. You can look in the archives and pull up each day. Just a note that he doesn't adjust his Sunday position figures to account for the removals of recurrents and purges so the Sunday positions are basically the morning numbers and not the published chart positions. If you don't want to play with that I have text files for both BTIKM and NCOE of Kworbs numbers just for Adam that I could email you. I did adjust positions for Sunday published charts. Not going to worry about Pop adds for this week until end of day, tomorrow. With only 30% there is a lot to go. Even Kelly is not getting Pop adds for her new song. You'd think after the success of Stronger, she'd be one of those "automatic" people, like Katy. But nope! I know Darkside isn't a great song (I am a Kelly fan, so I am not dissing her.) But still, being a good song has never been a criteria.

Welcome, eywflyer! Very informative post. Have you been a lurker for long? Why do you think NCOE isn't doing as well as expected by some? (RCA, for example) Top 40 adds are behind also. Tomorrow would have to be a big day in order to tie the 7 week mark that BTIKM had. I am baffled. NCOE wasn't the song I would have chosen for single #2, but I think it is a good for Pop and deserves to be heard. :-/ Hello and thank you for the welcome mys*&@^#r, I've been lurking for a few months here, have been an Adam numbers follower pretty much since the Idol days. I really don't understand what the problem is with NCOE. To me it is a more natural fit for Top 40 than BTIKM, but is trailing in adds at this point. It's doing ok on HAC, but doesn't appear at this point to be on a path to significantly out-perform BTIKM. IDK, it's pretty discouraging. Wow. Glad to see someone else from South Florida. Thanks for the posts. I am trying REALLY hard not to freak out. I will give myself to tomorrow at this time. I cannot understand how an artist with world wide acclaim and a number one album gets less adds and radio play than Stefano. I just don't get it.

I looked them up on adaminradioland just because I was curious. It's hard to find exact dates that line up, but: HACBTIKM, week 7 (2/13) AI 2.267 NCOE, week 7 (6/4) AI 2.115 Top 40BTIKM, week 7 (2/10) AI 0.582 NCOE, week 7 (6/3) AI 1.185 So HAC is pretty similar but NCOE is doing much better on AI on Top 40 compared to BTIKM at the same point. Which makes sense given the radio concerts and Top 40 stations currently spinning. I think the adds are fine. I don't expect the same push give to a brand new artist with their first make or break single for NCOE, and as long as it's trending in the right direction (which it is), I'm patient as to how long it takes to get there.

Why a sad face? 5 adds is good and 3 of them are new spinners. That means his spins will inccrease. :-/ Jazz, I just checked the Q add for BTIKM and it was a Tuesday, when they added. I am trying to stay positive but I am disappointed for the reasons everyone else has mentioned. And I am jealous of all the other people who are getting adds much more easily. For Adam, it can't just be the reality show contestant thing. If that was the case, how are Chris Rene, Stephano, and P2 getting adds and/or radio play? None of them has had previous hits like Adam has. I need a drink. Couldn't tell you what the deal with Stefano is but Chris Rene is STILL out doing radio promo and radio concerts. He is really hitting the bricks, has been for most of this year. P2, for almost 2 weeks after the Idol finale, is still at the top of the iTunes charts. His sales are hard to ignore, with the single and AI album staying at the top of the charts. They all also have different labels. NCOE is sitting at #170, on pop, on iTunes. It's over 60 spots lower than WWFM. The video has been out for a week and really doesn't seem to be helping sales. I don't think NCOE is connecting with people. And as far as RCA....not impressed. At least not the U.S. promo people for RCA. Shoshanna is working her ass off in the UK and look what results she is getting. She has also had an uphill battle over there cause FYE basically flopped, along with all of the singles. I also wonder if fan requests are also decreasing cause fans are just getting weary and frustrated cause we've done all we can and the people at the label, who are the ones who are getting paid to do this, don't seem to be doing their jobs. And I'm sorry...but after all the stations he visited during the promo tour, they should be getting better results than this.

The video has been out for a week and really doesn't seem to be helping sales. That seems premature given that it has yet to air on VH1. All one could look at at this point would be Canadian itunes, and it's really only been on some of their vid shows a few times so far. ETA: NCOE just got a new Top 40 spinner, WDJX-FM in Louisville, Kentucky. I'd post some flaily smilies but I think that would ruin the somber and tragic mood that posters have carefully cultivated, so I'll just tiptoe on out quietly..
