But it is brown cardigan Adam who is playing chess and likes to please Dadam, dark Adam wants to operate from his guts and not his head and he rejects chess. Telling, right?
It was light Adam who was giving the interview, light and happy and cheerfully so.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=DE5gAGqCtWk&feature=player_embeddedThe promotions circuit is probably mostly light Adam's duty. And he plays chess in his spare time. Kind of makes sense though.
;D ;D ;D
That Guardian article seems to have rubbed Adam the wrong way too.
www.guardian.co.uk/music/2012/jun/04/adam-lambert-american-idol-interview?INTCMP=SRCH I did not like this article either, even though the author can be complementary for a minute here and there. In most cases he will take it away with some snide remark the next.
I believe, Adam is not only complaining about the heels, even though the article puts this in quotes like as if Adam had said it verbatim, and if he did not he has every right to complain.
I think Adam is seeing that once more a journalist after 2 interviews granted writes an article that is in my mind mostly
a 'goo of gay' poured out over Adam's head - again.
Think of a person who has never heard of of Adam and this article is the first introduction they get. What besides the "gay" topic are they going to take away from this journalistic drivel? Nothing. Nothing about his vocal skills, nothing about his music, nothing about his performance art, nothing about his look or fashion sense or style, nothing about the depth of emotions he conveys in his lyrics and in his music, nothing about his personality....all they ever get to hear is gay...musical theater...gay....Freddie wannabe.....gay and more gay.
How would this article ever make anybody interested to check Adam out?
I think that sometimes the haters are easier to deal with that these condescending smart-asses who will look down on the conservatives, but at the same time have their own brain in such a fog of their own liberal musings on the gay topic that they are utterly incapable to see the person they are actually talking about through that layer of fog. It is an indirect discriminatory attitude, cloaked in a suffocating coat of supposedly sophisticated journalistic reporting.
Adam always has to first wade knee-deep through that 'goo' to reach people, because this crap is constantly thrown at him.
I do not believe for one minute that this journalist meant bad when he wrote this, but he also did not invest any brain cells on giving Adam a fare representation. He just wrote down the cloud that was surrounding his brain and that cloud happened to be a gay one.
This article is about this man's thinking, not about Adam, but Adam is the one who has to live with it.
When is Adam finally free from judgement to just present his art.
