I got the deluxe version of Trespassing from AO. Took me until this past weekend to realize there was a second disc. I think it's a video. I haven't watched it yet though. That boxed set is really tempting me. I keep hearing how much people really love it. It is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Better than I expected. Oh I agree! It's exquisite....with so many gorgeous bonus photos. Best $50 I've ever spent!! :D |

I'll have to go watch it now! Didn't even realize it was there. I should have figured there was a reason that AO charged $19 when others charged $12-$14. Did you see that B&N has the Deluxe version on sale for $11. I think that's a really good price. |

The Fan Edition is better than the Deluxe Edition because of disc #2. But if you can afford it, the box is a keeper. It is gorgeous. Plus it include the fan edition.

I often notice that even in very supportive interviews the interviewer appears not to notice the irony of asking many, many questions about how all the attention given to Adam being gay can take the focus of a discussion away from the music. peace&love True, but I must add I don't remember an interview with ANY singer being only about the music. It would be considered boring. They're always asked about their lives and about gossip. At least with Adam, these questions include important social issues. WUT? Of course other people have lives too, but their lives are not constantly used to degrade the person or diminish their accomplishments, are they? I do agree that Adam cannot get away from the gay and that gay topics also have their positive aspects, but can we somehow rank articles by the % of total coverage they give the topic vs all other possible topics. i.e. this Guardian article would get a 90 % gay, 10 % rest of Adam rating. See what I mean. Perhaps create a rainbow medallion for journalists covering Adam. The Guardian was pretty bad last time (FYE news cycle) and they are at it again. So they would get a 10 % medallion. 90 % would be "opportunity for improvement"....got to think about that a bit more. i.e. a gay publication should be on a different level than a general one...and perhaps we have to differentiate between positive gay coverage and the drivel/negative category. Ya thunk, if somebody regularly handed out such an award on twitter or something, journalists eventually would actually get the message. I don't think the point is to totally eliminate all gay coverage, the point is to fight this overpowering domination of that topic in a major part of the coverage, because it happens at the loss of all other topics. |
