A word about Sirius.
For a while now I have been completing the "What You Want" survey (rating songs) for Sirius XM Hits
1 (their Top 40) station. On the last survey I did, maybe four or five days, I rated about 30 songs, and then answered some questions. One of the questions was: "Who is your favorite new artist?"
I answered "Adam Lambert". I added he is "new to radio" and he "needs to be played much more than he is".
So it is interesting that Sirius is now playing him. When I heard, I thought, "Wow! I might have something to do with that". But now I understand that the spins are on the 20 on 20 station, not Hits 1. 20 on 20 is more alternative, newer music, and not as "POP".
My question: is 20 on 20 a monitored station, and are spins considered "Top 40", HAC or Alternative?
In any case, I will continue to request on Hits 1 as well as on 20 on 20.
