I’ve recently been partially responsible for three non-Adam fans being converted to fans. First up, my sister-in-law. She pretty much hated Adam on Idol – too flamboyant and too much screaming. She refused to watch any youtubes I sent her or listen to any acoustic stuff when I brought some cd’s with me on several visits. She called me a while ago and said “So did you see your boy on Idol?” I braced myself for the usual negative comments,. She said ”Wow, he can really sing. That performance was beautiful!”. After I picked my jaw up ff the floor, she continued. She is a nurse and said that many of her co-workers are pretty conservative and have agreed with her in the past on the screaming and his being too flamboyant (too much make-up, etc. – nothing about being gay). Well Adam’s performance on Idol was the talk of the water cooler the next day. They all loved it! And couldn’t get over how handsome he is. SIL said that she thought the new, toned down Adam will gain a lot of new fans this era. Next up, my music geek friend. We have a lot in common in musical tastes. However, he has never cared for Adam. Again, the too much screaming thing. I figured I’d try one more time and sent him the Queen performances, a few old acoustics, BTIKM and NCOE. He called me last night to say that he loved them! What a voice! What an entertainer! He’s doing some concerts with Queen? Please send me videos! The third person is my 30 something occupational therapist. She didn’t dislike Adam, just forgot about him after Idol. After talking about him, I sent her the videos of BTIKM, NCOE and a Trespassing performance. Her comment “Wow! I loved it! I will definitely buy that album!” One new fan at a time................... Well, that’s it! It only took me an hour and a half to type! Progress (I think). [laughs] WAY TO GO SUGAREE!!! Convert those new Adam fans!!!  I'll put the rest in the member's thread ( adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=membernews&action=display&thread=331&page=65) , but I just want to say in the meantime: I'M SO HAPPY YOU'RE BACK !!!!!   |

Adam Lambert Rocks G-A-Y NightclubJune 11th, 2012 2:25 PM by FirecrackerI thought I was having a case of 'The Mondays' or at least that's the excuse I was working with. Then I came across pictures of Adam Lambert performing for the gays at G-A-Y Nightclub in London and it suddenly felt like Tuesday, not really. Adam is spending June and July across the pond and it looks like he's having a great time. He Tweeted: “So excited for the late night G-A-Y club performance on Saturday here in London. You're gonna feel it Kickin In boys!” I just love how Glambert puts it together! Adam Lambert loves jackets and his fashion is so fun. He knows how to keep things flashy and interesting without going the Lady Gaga route and taking it too far. |

Once again he's stellar in an interview (the girl not so much :  but more importantly  - the whites of his eyes - seriously? I was mesmerized....does he use eye drops constantly? They're beautiful. If it was a still photograph I'd think they were enhanced. |

Oooo too cool sugaree! :D I haven't converted anyone lately but I did talk to a DJ at a gay club last night who said he liked FYE but had no idea Adam had a second album out. No converts but that's another buyer when the UK Trespassing comes out  |
