Thackerville? Is that the venue with those gay hating security guards, who attacked male audience members and threw first on the ground and threatened to throw them out of the venue...with tons of people reporting via twitter how these guys had done nothing but dare to be fans or a gay guy. Even Adam got wind of the story and intervened and he tweeted something about my fans are just excited, not hostile...or something along those lines. I think this was Thackersville and I thought Adam would never set foot into that place again. But I am not sure it was the Casino last time, just remember this town right across the border from Texas, that can be reached within 2 hours from DFW metro area. And we thought Kiev was tough for Adam or his audience? This is about as rural and conservative as you can get in cattle country. Yikes. I am sure others will have all the various reports about the incident in question in no time. This is the place that incident happened. It's on the boarder of OK and TX, only 1 hour away from Dallas. I'm not sure how much was exaggerated though. I was there the whole time and didn't notice anything, and only knew it from twitter afterward. I think it's nothing to worry about.  |

I don't usually request that you all vote a certain amount of times when I am being PIA. But today, I am. The Friday #1 song on 10 at 10 had 4900 votes. Yay! Adam is mentioned in this paragraph: Hoping to find the next pop superstar, the music competition has more than made an indelible mark in pop culture and is responsible for its share of lasting voices (Kelly Clarkson! Carrie Underwood! Daughtry! Adam Lambert!) and plenty of disposable ones. Plus they include his WWFM music vid and say this: Adam Lambert (Season 8, 2009). Lambert's Broadway theatrics weren't enough to beat out Kris Allen (the second in a string of recent winners pegged as the “white guy with guitar”), but his unpredictable stage presence and limitless range brought excitement to the competition at a time when it desperately needed it. Bonus points for being one of the few contestants to prove you don't need to win the show to make your mark. ETA: Just noticed Adam is also mentioned here: Daughtry (Season 5, 2006). If there was any greater justice for booted contestants on this competition, its the lasting success of Daughtry. And he's not the only voice we still hold a candle for from his season: Elliott Yamin, Mandisa and Katherine McPhee might have all lost out to Taylor Hicks on the competition, but as with Lambert, it didn't really matter. |

Goin' for my 100 at 10 for 10 -- at 50 so far. I've opened 5 windows and go down the line. By the time I get back to window 1, its refreshed and ready to go. Phew.
