I just tried voting for the first time and I got Ricky Martin too despite clicking on Adam's picture and clicking Submit. The tweet that showed up on my Twitter page said I voted for Ricky. Loudly protesting, "I did no such thing!", I deleted it.

Delete if inappropriate for this thread (I'm afraid to go into the #s thread) ... but does anyone ever check the Global Album Chart? Trespassing is #39 Globally ... it'll be interesting to see if it rises after the album is released in the UK. And I also find it interesting to see who else is doing well globally, but not the US. Love him or hate him, Adam knew how to get people's attention, sometimes get people downright angry, and make those who were faint of heart and/or feeble of mind squirm in their support hose--all very good things in the world of rock and pop. On this fateful night, Adam took a strong stance, making it clear that he planned to stay true to himself, even if that meant freaking out Randy Travis with his goth manicure, or refusing to "go country" on Opry Night (though I think black-clad country maverick Johnny Cash would have appreciated this remake). Many Glambert performances--"Mad World," "Tracks Of My Tears," "Whole Lotta Love"--could've made this list, but "Ring Of Fire" is the one that really put him on the glittery map. "Ring of Fire" was risky for another reason -- Adam performed it on Top 11 week. If he had been voted off that night, he would have missed being on the Idol tour. Once again demonstrating that the dude has balls of steel. Love Lyndsey -- as Adam would say, she's an OG Glambert to the max! |

I love that Adam got Billboard's sexiest man! I was getting a bit annoyed that some were calling it a silly, meaningless poll. It's not silly or meaningless if Adam knows about it and it makes him happy. Plus Brian May's website's twitter account tweeted about it and Shohanna and UK press is picking up on it. All this from taking a few minutes to vote.
