I'm glad that Adam won this poll as I do think he's sexy as hell. But, if the damn article is going to say *Gay pop star Adam Lambert* then I think it's only fair that it should say *Straight pop star Britney Spears*. I mean, c'mon....really? *sigh* And if they have to say *Former American Idol star* then they should also say *Former Mickey Mouse/Disneyland star*. LOL!! I'm just kind of joking about this, but I really am hoping that soon the *gay pop star* will just go to *worldwide superstar, Adam Lambert*. I'm just so tired of the emphasis on gay this, gay that. WTH does it matter? FFS, he's a human being first, and a damn fine one at that. Ok, sorry bout going on. I'm watching my 4 yr. old Grandson today and I'd best get back to that. 8-) ~~~~~~ I agree. I love that he wins....anything. To me, well, no other man can hold a candle to him, period. (I could gush on and on....) ;D But I wish people would go more crazy for the musician he is, rather than if he's gay or sexy or what kind of make up he has on that day. Just an opinion....

blog.music.aol.com/2012/06/13/adam-lambert-the-f-word-gay-role-model/Adam Lambert, 'The F Word' Interview: Being a Gay Role Model Was 'Not a Responsibility I Ever Signed Up for' Adam Lambert kicks off Music Choice's new series, "The F Word," where celebrities get candid about the ups and downs of fame. The 30-year-old superstar reflects on his meteoric rise to super stardom, from "American Idol" to becoming the first openly gay man with a No. 1 album on the Billboard charts. But, Glambert says the life of the rich and famous isn't always as glam as his fabulous nickname may suggest. Aside from the lack of privacy, the singer admits he struggled to accept his unsolicited title as a gay role model. Lambert, who has been out as a gay man since he was 18 years old, was completely caught of guard when he appeared on the cover of Entertainment Weekly at the age of 27 next to the headline, "The Most Exciting 'American Idol' Contestant in Years ... And Not Just Because He Might Be Gay." "Then all of a sudden it was gay, straight, religious not religious and it turned into this whole social, moral issue," Lambert recalled. "I don't think 'American Idol''s that deep!" more

Capital FM @capitalofficial Adam Lambert fans vs #Beliebers - Who's going to win? Adam's pic: bit.ly/NftPJk Justin's pic: bit.ly/L59Ryd #MostLikesWins I don't get this. Are they trying to do a poll too? Adam already won. What am I missing? I clicked on the link and didn't see any voting thing.

Well, to me, this shows that the homophobic slugs are scared because they are seeing positive change in society happening and they can't do anything but lash out irrationally in their frustration. As Bob Dylan said, "The times they are a changing". Even if it's a slow progression, I feel, the 'dignity of every person' will win out. Standing firm, with forcefields up, and NOT ALLOWING them to silence you.....is my motto. This. It was like when Barack Obama became president, and the racists were coming out of the woodwork. The idea of an intelligent African American in a position of power was such a threat to them that they tried to diminish him by posting their poisonous comments on every article about him they could find. These kinds of people only feel worthwhile when they can claim superiority over others. I'm not smart and I'm not the president but at least I'm white. Or--I'm not sexy and I'm not talented but at least I'm straight. These are truly pitiful people. Thankfully, they are fighting a losing battle. Attitudes are moving toward fairness and equality. The rest of us are leaving the bigots in the rear-view mirror.

They had to do the same thing with The Toronto Sun and Lyndsey Parker closed all comments on Adam articles. What is the matter with people?

I apologize if this has been posted--been playing catch up lately. Listening to a backlog of podcasts and wanted to link an Adam mention in the Sound Opinions podcast (dated 6/1--Screaming Females episode). They played NCOE and said his album debuted at #1. They did not review the album or track but used it as an intro to discussion of AI and other reality/ competition shows. Adam part starts at 5:00. www.soundopinions.org/podcast.html
