I'm glad that Adam won this poll as I do think he's sexy as hell. But, if the damn article is going to say *Gay pop star Adam Lambert* then I think it's only fair that it should say *Straight pop star Britney Spears*. I mean, c'mon....really? *sigh* And if they have to say *Former American Idol star* then they should also say *Former Mickey Mouse/Disneyland star*. LOL!! I'm just kind of joking about this, but I really am hoping that soon the *gay pop star* will just go to *worldwide superstar, Adam Lambert*. I'm just so tired of the emphasis on gay this, gay that. WTH does it matter? FFS, he's a human being first, and a damn fine one at that. Ok, sorry bout going on. I'm watching my 4 yr. old Grandson today and I'd best get back to that. 8-) I SO agree with you !!!!! Enough already ! |

I realize that the BB poll is mainly a fan vote and a way to get clicks. But, the fact that it is being picked up and reported by other online outlets indicates that it is a transformational moment, the rumble of a tectonic shift. I think it is being reported because some find it amazing that an out, proud gay man is being considered by many to be the sexiest man in music. It is just a glimpse of the "post gay" world that Adam is striving for.
If one looks at the pics and performances of the top 10 guys, without factoring in their availability or sexual orientation, I think that Adam is definitely the most sensual. That this can be acknowledged, given his orientation, is a small indication that the tide is changing. I also agree with the person who said that the proliferation of ugly, homophobic, gay-bashing comments is an almost predictable backlash. A desire to put the genie back in the bottle, to shut Pandora's box, to un-ring the bell that tolls of change. For that alone, this poll win is inspiring.

....so much for forward progress. I guess a gay Adam winning the sexiest male ,makes some manly Male types feel impotent. Ha haters It's not all about muscles It's about brains,talent and kindness. This attitude just may be the reason there is a push back against Adam's success.
Mellie, you nailed it. Besides feeling jealous, the macho types just can't comprehend that women can find a man sexy even though he isn't available to them. Thankfully, some men do understand that not all of their sex appeal comes from being rough, tough, and muscular (and they're usually the ones who prefer women with brains, talent, kindness, and humor to Barbie doll types). |

Also, I cannot NOT admire the photos of Adam everybody posts, they are all great, recent ones, where he looks soooo good and handsome and healthy and sexy..... His beauty has been praised and commended in almost every interview... People wonder: Is it juicing? Is it love? Some secret elixir? Because he does look staggeringly, breathtakingly beautiful. I think the reason is this: he's reached a point in his life ( let's say his thirties) when your youthful looks start to give way to the quality of your soul and that reflects on your face. I believe this is true for everyone. Adam is beautiful on the outside because he's beautiful inside as well. Secondly, in the past few days, it seems to me that all the articles, whatever their topic is, focus on Adam. Queenberting? - Adam's pic only. Sexiest man and woman? There's Adam and Britney, but there were articles with Adam alone. Idk if this is really true, I don't have the desire to search for evidence, it's just a general impression of mine - Adam is hot stuff right now and there's a lot of berting going on. |
