The singer was thrown into the limelight after appearing on TV talent show American Idol in 2009 and soon after he released his debut album, 'For Your Entertainment'. Speaking to the BBC, Lambert said that his new album 'Trespassing' is the result of being brought back "down to earth". He said: "I've grown up a lot in the past couple of years. This whole lifestyle: Idol, having my first album and touring - it forces you to face certain things and it definitely caused me to mature."

popdirt.com/daft-punk-inspired-adam-lamberts-new-album-trespassing/99407/Daft Punk Inspired Adam Lambert’s New Album ‘Trespassing’ Posted on June 13, 2012 by popdirt Andpop sat down with Adam Lambert recently, and asked the ‘American Idol’ album about rumors saying he was to perform with Queen at the Olympics this summer in London. “I’m not allowed to perform at the Olympics, because I’m not a British citizen,” Adam said. He also talked about writing the ‘Trespassing’ track ‘Cuckoo’ with Bonnie McKee, which is about partying to the point of insanity, and how the new album has a lot of Daft Punk influence. “That’s the kind of music I listen to,” Adam said. “I listen to a lot of electronic music. I listen to dance music, moreso right now than I listen to rock music. I love rock classics, because those songs for me are vocally challenging, and they have range and power, but contemporary music that I listen to is more like the pop, dance electronic stuff. Now I have the great honor of trying to put my crazy rock star vocals on that type of music.” ... Gelly

Yay! Go to the link!www.nilerodgers.com/blogs/planet-c-in-english/2038-dr-nile-rodgersDr. Nile Rodgers June 13, 2012 This weekend before flying to England to perform at The Lovebox Festival, I'll be awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters Degree from Drexel University. This is a tradition that became common in the 16th century at Oxford and Cambridge universities in England. CLICK TO READ THE PROGRAM An Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters is typically awarded to individuals who have distinguished themselves, usually in areas related to the humanities - or to honor their contributions to society in general. Recipients of the Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters have included former presidents, authors, distinguished scholars, business leaders, and prominent entertainers. Notable recipients include former presidents Bill Clinton and George H.W. Bush, entertainer Bob Hope, CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour, filmmaker Ken Burns, actress Meryl Streep, and poet and author Dr. Maya Angelou. I'm flattered, humbled, and honored to be in such company. I take this award very seriously, but I've achieved what I've accomplished because I'm driven, dedicated, and disciplined. I try and keep my life in perspective and maintain a certain sense of humor about it because life is so unpredictable. With that in mind - please respectfully laugh along with today's blog post of the "Doctor Sequence" from the film Spies Like Us. Yours truly, soon to be Dr. Nile Rodgers.
