Cattituude @cattituude The Jewish publications are all over this. LOL RT @mindchnger tehehe blogs.forward.com/the-shmooze/157798/adam-lambert-tops-sexist-men-in-pop-list/Adam Lambert Tops ‘Sexist Men in Pop’ ListBy Renee Ghert-Zand When it comes to sex appeal, it looks like Jewish pop stars have it. How else can The Shmooze account for the fact that three out of the 10 men on Billboard’s “sexiest men in pop” list are members of the tribe? Billboard polled 600,000 readers, who let it be known that the sexiest male musician out there is — get ready for it — Adam Lambert. The guy is on fire these days, what with being the sexiest singer du jour, plus having recently made it to the number one spot on the Billboard chart when his new album “Tresspassing” sold 77,000 copies in its first week (beating out Adele, no less). Lambert got 26% of the votes, and joining him on the list are Maroon Five’s Adam Levine in second place with a respectable 12% of the vote. Even though the mononymous rapper Drake pulls up the rear in 10th place with 2% of the vote, his showing is not shabby, considering how many guys didn’t even make the list at all. We’re sorry to relay that there were no Jews on the sexiest women’s list. But don’t forget that Israeli supermodel Bar Refaeli is the hottest woman in the world according to Maxim magazine. And hot on her heels were a handful of other head-turning Jewesses. Hey, we’re sexy and we know it.

I don't have a way with words, that's why I spend most of my time lurking And I will do my best to make this short and sweet. I've been pondering the sense of unease that can be felt throughout fandom... whether it's fear, worry, or just plain battle fatigue. We've chosen to support a man who's path is difficult on many levels. Change doesn't come easily, Adam knows this and we know it intellectually, but I think emotionally we wish that wasn't so. I think we need to savor our victories, Grammy nomination and a critically acclaimed 2nd album to name just two, but accept that it's going to be a long process. I'm stubborn and Adam deserves success and I'm not going let the difficulties he faces wear me down or take the joy out of supporting such a deserving individual. This whole post makes me cry. Bravo! Your words, the video and the Dr. Suess quote are all perfection. Thanks for the reminder.

Finnish Official Sales Chart is previewed right now on radio Aalto. Trespassing is at 13th position after 4 weeks on the chart (last week nr 10). Not dropping too dramatically, yay!

The whole GAY GAY GAY emphasis over the music emphasis is getting old. Unfortunately, that was the initial media sensation around Adam after coming off conservative American Idol, and so the gay is part of the initial way Adam was discussed in the press, and that has stuck. It doesn't help that sometimes lazy media seems to just repeat what has been said before. I have often noted that Adam uses the word "notorious" to discuss his fame in interviews rather than the word famous. He really is stuck between a rock and a hard place as he has often mentioned. All the PR issues he deals with are so complex. Take winning the billboard sexiest male pop star vote. For most guys, end of story. For Adam, the story broadens to the story of "openly gay male" winning sexiest male pop star. That subtext pulls in a bigger reaction for subsequent articles and mentions, on line audience or not. It puts an openly gay man out there as a sex symbol, which is good for America culturally; on the other hand, Adam gets some push back by those who are still uncomfortable with this idea, and who may not be open to his music because of it. I know this poll does not affect much of anything, but it is a microcosm of the kind of problem Adam faces in making pop music. It should be all about the music, but it often isn't. There are so many other factors. For example, it is often about sex appeal, and Adam has that in spades. When Adam performs, it is sexy. Period. Some (yes, me) love that energy; others are still afraid of and/or threatened by that. It makes for tricky marketing. And so, today, I am patient. Adam is still trespassing. He knows it and so do I. I want that to change for him individually as an artist, and for our greater society as human beings, and it is in the process of changing, so I continue to do all I can to support his talent. Adam has opened doors and will open more. His talent is out there and it is huge and undeniable; successes and opportunities will come. He may be trespassing now, but my ass, he is coming in and sitting down at America's table, so get ready. Ultimately, Adam, and those that follow him, will be invited guests. I, Too I, too, sing America. I am the darker brother. They send me to eat in the kitchen When company comes, But I laugh, And eat well, And grow strong. Tomorrow, I'll be at the table When company comes. Nobody'll dare Say to me, "Eat in the kitchen," Then. Besides, They'll see how beautiful I am And be ashamed-- I, too, am America. Langston Hughes
