Supposedly Gaga had trouble in the US at first with radio play and acceptance. However she had the gay population behind her in the US. She became famous in Europe, and with the help of the gay population in the US she got a foothold in the US after coming back to the US. I don't know if this article was posted yesterday, but it speaks to some of the topics on the thread today, about the clout of the LGBT community as consumers of music and their buying clout: www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/industry/touring/why-the-wanted-play-gay-clubs-marketing-1007300352.storyWhy The Wanted Play Gay Clubs: Marketing, Music And The LGBT Community's Mainstream Music Clout several Adam mentions, and article concludes with: "Regardless of genre, Epic's Seviour hopes the current cultural climate accelerates the change even faster. "Adam Lambert is the perfect example of someone who owns who he is, makes great pop music and is not defined by sexuality," he says. "He just makes great pop music."I believe the times they are a chaning. Excellent - thanks for posting.

Lol! Trespassingghost @coconutghost007 And the Grammy for best album pimper for other artists goes to....Adam Lambert! (seriously dude, you're too nice) Laurie Motley @lauriemotley Adam Lambert is the classiest pop star. He continually praises other artists because he is secure, generous and kind. @adamlambert YOU rock!He is a genuinely beautiful man.

Really depressed that the PopMatters review lowered Adam's Metacritic score by 7 points. :( PopMatters can really be like that. On two of my son's albums PopMatters really lowballed them, causing a drop in the metacritic score. And on all three albums, even the one they liked, they were lower than the critics average score. One particular negative album review by them kind of started a "not good enough, we were expecting more" meme that one could see got picked up by some other critics. Aarrgh! PopMatters gave the first Adele album, 19, a score of 80. But he was disappointed with 21 and gave it a 50. Pitchfork rated my son's albums pretty highly, and gave Muse a 4 out of 10. I thought that maybe my son needed to get lower pitchfork scores to earn big bucks. LOL It's all so random. peace&love

I'm still way behind in yesterday's thread, as RL is totally cutting into my scanning time, but wanted to announce that my Fault has arrived on Vancouver Island! Oh wait, it's Adam's Fault! Other than a very slight bend in one corner, it's perfect! Great quality! So Aloha maybe this is the jumping off point for Hawaii, and the turtle is handing it off to a whale now!
