Sorry, but complaining about no Top 40 adds this week when the Top 40 adds are tomorrow is a little strange to me. ??? Please point out where I complained. I was stating the fact that with 54 of 155 monitored Top 40 stations reporting, there are zero adds for NCOE. Sorry, bad choice of word.

Trying to interpret the HDD numbers---guess we're looking at a significant drop this week? I thought that Amazon sale would cushion things a little. Guess not? We may not necessarily be looking at a big drop. The final Billboard position last week was #54 so it's not too shocking that the album is not in the top 50 even on the partial HDD report. The Amazon and iTunes rankings have definitely stabilized for the past week after falling pretty steadily for a couple of weeks before that. It is currently #65 on Amazon and #31 on iTunes Pop, and has been holding close to those numbers for over a week now. I don't know how much of total sales are accounted for by Amazon and iTunes though. It seems to have dropped out of the Top 100 completely on Barnes & Noble, and had dropped out on Target and Walmart too when I checked last week.

One big difference is that NCOE never had an HAC add date, BTIKM did. I think RCA wants to see if they can get Adam out of the "Adult Pop Music Ghetto". NCOE -- only promoted to Top 40. NCOE Music Video -- pushed to MTV not VH1. I am not sure that this is a sensible strategy but I am convinced they can push it up the HAC chart when they want to. hac is, as you say, not the ideal place for an artist, and I'm not sure why they even tried hac with btikm when Adam's first two singles were both safely top 40. Going for top 40 with ncoe seems a sensible strategy, as the song is as obviously pop as btikm was hac.

Amazon and B&N are a small percentage of album sales -- usually 12% - 14%. iTunes is a larger percentage of sales -- on average 38% of digital sales -- and about 30% of album sales. That leaves about 65% of album sales in retail stores. Trespassing Deluxe is at #194 on iTunes album now -- the regular album is well behind. I expect to see a drop on the BBill chart of maybe 20 places or so.

NCOE is perfectly suited to HAC's 25-49 year old target audience and HAC listeners purchase music. Just observing that the US promo strategy is clearly focused on Pop, not as much on HAC.

Not making any predictions, as things could go either way but just saying where it stands today NCOE has almost double the audience impression on CHR that BTIKM had at the same time in it's life cycle. It also has a presence on the Canadian CHR chart that BTIKM didn't have, with an AI there higher than any other song until you get into the top 30. In the last two weeks it had quite a few new stations give challenge/test spins. It may be some time before these stations up rotation or add but if it follows the pattern of BTIKM, many eventually will.

I don't know about other areas, but the HAC station in Dallas seems to be aiming younger and younger. For the past two weeks, they've tweeted about no one except One Direction and The Wanted. Their playlist seems to be skewing younger and younger. They certainly don't seem to be focusing too much on 25-49 demographic.

They certainly don't seem to be focusing too much on 25-49 demographic. That's because Pop is aiming younger and younger than it was 4-6 months ago. HAC is just following what CHR is leaning towards. The only difference is that HAC will stay away from some of the songs by artists Drake or Chris Brown, etc. and add in a little Jason Mraz and John Mayer.
