Sugaree, I fully understand your decision. As you know, I have been there many times myself. I have resigned myself to just reading in the moon garden lately for the same reasons you noted. I have had the same experience noticing that my "obsession" is a little much and sharing with others has left me feeling exposed and a little embarrassed. I don't know why, but it did. I am convinced that if it had not been for the online community of like minds, my level of dedication would have been at the level of casual fan. Adam and Atop coincided with changes in my life that are only recently becoming actualized. These years have been about reconnecting with myself so that I can grow from a truer place. I hope you continue to contribute to the moon garden.

Yep, still here. Love ya Alison. The online community here is the best, though greatly diminished (except for here). Hope the new house and your new life direction is/are going well (is/are further confirms that brain function is not like it used to be). Anyway, Adam as a person has helped me connect with my truer place, but there is no way for me to explain that to people who have not experienced it directly. There have been other music artists who have done that, but they were known to the masses in other times in the industry therefore there was no reason to explain or defend.
I gotta stop trying to explain myself, 'cause I really can't...................

Junie, you killed me with this song! So emotional... And I don't even know who this is or particularly care for this genre:) This requires a retribution : here is a very sad song in my language ( sorry for the bad vid), the lyrics being the main source of emotion ( they're beautiful and poetic), but you can't understand them, as I can English. Can you feel it? Also, I just needed some Serbian melos here :

aleksandrakv! I hope you are really back. That would make such a big difference to me. I have missed you soooo much. That was a beautiful Serbian song that you shared. I could hear the wistfulness and melancholy. Shake Russell is one of our best Texas songwriters and his song came up on my iPod last week during a particular time and touched me deeply. It seems to fit the times. sugaree, your words make sense and I agree with what alison says. Who among us has not been there, especially lately? Everyone knows that I have. I love your contributions here and hope you will still be around at times. I need my fellow southerner and c/w fan. I am very fortunate to have a sister who is a Glambert. Otherwise, I am really only "out" to one person in RL. For some reason, much of our culture stigmatizes and trivializes fandom -- especially female fandom (as opposed, say, to sports fandom which is stereotypically male). Adam is brash, beautiful, earthy, spiritual, wise, foolish ... but no matter what he is doing he rarely defers to authority. He attracts fans who want to cast off authority and old thinking too. As for the fan community ... at its best it offers a chance for sharing in Adam's creative expression. By celebrating his pride and achievements, we gain courage for our own. We can offer each other community and support. I don't know why that's so hard for friends and family to understand or why they want to shoot it down. I just know often that they do. :-/
