All sales through the AO store will also be reported in Soundscan, and contribute to the overall total reflected in the DVD charts.

I usually do not pay much attention to Examiner articles. But this review written by Renee Snyder contained a typo I could not resist. (Since I am a typo expert, I post this with a completely kind and understanding heart. And any regular ATop or PF visitor knows that I have crafted some real doozies over the past couple of years.)

As for CD/DVD Tour video:
Cost comes out of artists pocket unless you have someone willing to sponsor and promote it.
VEVO filmed and recorded Adam's concert in Indianapolis, IN. When VEVO was premiered Adam was their very first artist to help launch it. A deal was made hence 1 year later they picked up all cost.
DVD's are VERY expensive to produce so unless an artist has someone willing to pay for it most artists don't do them. Very little get sold. Top seller Beyonce 100,000. Pink 50,000. Vevo will also make money on video streams and views like most do. Label also gets a % of video streams. Adam has/is being featured on VEVO as of now.
Adam's personal photogapher - Lee Cherry - Personal friend and coworker from his Zodiac days
Adam's hairstylist, makeup artists, dancers, stylist(Skingraft) all personal friends of his BEFORE Idol. Can I remind Cook fans that Adam has been in the business for 10yrs before Idol and he has employed all close friends of his. With exposure since working with Adam all are doing other projects to further their career. Lee Cherry had a ET segment featuring Adam's tour and now occasionally does work for them. His makeup artist RAJA is now makeup artists for American Top Model and is on the RuPaul show. His dancer Sasha went on to SYTYCD. See what a little fame can do for friends.
As for media: Adam creates his own buzz so chalk up half as free media. (RCA smiling). Like any business you can offer you client but someone has to want you. Management can't force them to say yes, 19's connections are great but not unlimited.

RCA cares less about platinum certificates. They care about units sold. If certificates were a big deal than Adam's wall looks pretty good with all his international awards and gold/platinum certificates

Since then he has release "Aftermath" (song he co-wrote) and "Sleepwalker" both which went #1 in several countries, "Sure Fire Winner" and "Fever" Top 10 and are still charting. His album re-entering on official charts. NZ alone is on their 7th single(They love him there). Finland is on their 5th single and since Adam is dating their most famous celebrity(S7 Big Brother winner Saul) Finland has officially adopted him as their adoptive son. (I don't make this shit up, google is your friend.lol)he is very popular and is in the media everyday there. He is Australia's 2nd US most popular musician behind Pink. He's very popular in Germany, even got Tokia Hotel fans warmed up to him. Adam is far removed from the Idol bubble. So guessmate album units sold 1.5m and 5m singles and is still selling in over 30 countries. "Aftermath Remix" (proceeds go to Trevor Project US only) will be released worldwide and US radio this week. So Adam isn't going away. So I'm not seeing how Cook is any superior position over Adam. Do Idol runner ups bow down and wait in line behind winners? I don't think so. Even Kris Allen fans stop fighting that battle. As for Adam just wanting to be famous.lol well, you like your guy low key. Our guy is a Hollywood club kid who was NEVER a low key kind of guy even before Idol so we like him just the way he is.
