Whenever I hear the word gay used, I don't just think of "homosexual". Gaye is the name of a neighbor and friend of 25 years' sister. (No longer a neighbor and I seemed to have lost the friendship in the divorce.) My old friend's maiden name was Dyke. My, oh, my! Did she have a difficult time in school with kids teasing her? It makes me think of a name I saw awhile back in the obituaries. The guy's name was Woodrow Dickey. His nickname was printed under his name: Woody. Woody Dickey. Oddly enough, on the same page was an obituary for a woman whose first name was Fairie, but her nickname was Butch. I'd love to know the story behind that!

Now, what was last night's discussion about when it really comes down to the "pants". And therefore, organic is "natural, authentic, a formal emotional communication" - in the most amazing pants displaying the GB. It really is so simple......

Excuse me while I arrange to leave my family so I can move to LA where I, too, have a 1 in 1,000,000,000 chance of bumping into Adam. The odds look good, no? #NotCray

As long as organic doesn't mean plaid flannel of the boring variety, taking up acoustic guitar and accompany oneself, and doing entire concerts sitting on a stool in baggy, ripped denim. Oh, and wearing only organic, fair trade, unbleached cotton socks with non-leather shoes. The only organic thing I know about Adam is that he shops at Whole Foods. I want my Adam to be a bit more sparkly -- so hopefully it will be shiny, leather-bound, sparkly organic!

My neighbor and her sister were born in the 40's, so Gaye didn't get the school razzing. Then she married young and, of course, no one knew her maiden name, unless she told them.
