My favourite is "Much better than it ought to feel" which says to me that AFL is surpassing Brian's expectations and he is surprised and pleased. I interpret it a little bit differently. I think they had extremely high expectations of Adam. No surprises there! But he is talking about how it feels. I have a feeling that they are recapturing the way it felt when Freddie was there. Not to say that Adam is as important to them as Freddie was/is. But more like the feeling they have is to have someone with Adam's vocal talent and on stage presence & finally being able to have their songs sung and performed (with some theatrics) the way they were meant to be sung after a 20 year wait! Plus, Adam is so easy to work with! True, I can see how he can be describing the feeling of the whole experience. I'm happy for all of them!

You can see "that feeling" in the idol performance, when Adam and Brian make eye contact and again during the EMAs when Brian is doing his guitar solo. The look on his face is just priceless! We all saw it but in one of the interviews this week, Adam, mentions them looking at each other!! It wasn't our imaginations! We actually interpreted it right! Gawd, I am going to be in tears for at least the next 24 hours just thinking about this!

Virg - Thanks for the color picture. Reading today's thread and rewatching the EMA medley - Adam and you guys are about the only ones who can have me laughing and crying (happy tears) at the same time. I'll be working tomorrow during the concert and don't dare try to sneak a peek. Just the thought... would embarrass myself... ;D

OMG, I can't believe that this time tomorrow we'll be celebrating having watched (hopefully) Adam perform live with Queen in front of hundreds of thousands and a world stage of millions more! So incredible. I feel like we've been waiting for this moment since last November--or if I listen to Adam, he'll almost have me believing it was just earlier this year. But it feels like forever! The day is finally upon us--a full show! This month I haven't had a chance to do much more online than read the threads quickly and try to read or watch all the media. It's been terrific, from Adam's performance at the Royal Albert Hall, to his nightclub gig, and later back for the concert in San Francisco. There were cool dance vids from Singapore, a couple of really sweet photos with Sauli, and an "our boy" (squee!). Plus Adam's appearance on the Graham Norton Show(!) and the BBC Breakfast show and sooo many other wonderful interviews this month--the F Word interview is definitely one of my favorites (I thought we would have had full video by now, to go along with the audio, of Adam's Q with Jian Ghomeshi interview on CBC Radio)--and so much more, capped off by Adam's attendance at Elton's charity ball. So varied. It's been a little surreal. Things are going so well overseas, and are about to become epic, and I hope they'll improve stateside as well. I know the only thing I can really do is request and vote. Makes me feel I'm contributing in some way, even if it sometimes seems like shoring up the levee with sandbags until RCA brings in the troops and larger resources to get the job done. I'm also obsessive (maybe even a little neurotic) about watching videos and listening to audio at the original media source whenever possible and clicking on every conceivable link, even if I don't have time to read the content right then or could read the text on the forum without clicking over since it's all about the money and ad revenue and showing the numbers at the end of the day, which contributes to the cycle of press coverage that keeps him in the public eye and helps give him a fighting chance. So glad for this oasis of joy during the next couple of weeks. Adam's projecting for himself an amazing experience and good energy for these Queen concerts and I believe it will materialize. A report I read the other day about the Kiev concert said that the musicians had planned a "special surprise." I hope that means that Elton and Queen will be performing together at some point during the night. I'm so curious to know the set list and excited to hear Adam's voice on these songs. I'm also excited to see Adam's outfit(s) (hope we get six different ones!) since he recently hinted at something outré. Definitely can't wait to see his shoes! I hear they're gonna be pretty fabulous. Everyone going to see any of these six shows, have a blast! Safe travels.

I am catching up... most of the important stuff re Adam was already translated... I just want to add that the interviewer was EXCELLENT! He was witty, funny, respectful, informed, quick and engaging! Fiannly, for the first time since I started following Russian media vis a vis Adam - am proud of a Russian interview! I hope Adam will one day land an interview of this caliber there! youtu.be/PbJohjz2nrQNica... can you verify this...somebody posted on the comment of this video Can you check if this was in their conversation? no, there was no such comment... there was no conversation re Adam's solo concerts at all...they talk about Roger's son who plays drums, they talk about the Extravaganza, the host calls Br. and R."icons and gods", and says that they and especially Brian look like a god (see Brian's reaction at 6:20) and he would love to be met by a person like Brian once he is up there [in heavens]; he asks if they are still writing music (yes, they are,) he presents Brian with guitar....says that it is a great honor that Brian and Roger are on his show, then he says that everyone will be at the July 3rd concert, Brian says : 'please come!" , and he finishes with asking permission to give them a hug on behalf of all citizens of Russia who do not have the opportunity!

More interpretation from that video (Brian May talking) @mindchnger Brian: "He's not arrogant but he's very confident. He has a truly extraordinary voice, extraordinary presence & extraordinary passion"
@mindchnger "he comes knowing what he has to do and feels good about it. It feels great. It feels amazing! Much better than it ought to feel"ETA: @mindchnger lol Roger: "He's very kind. He doesn't make us feel too much like his fathers" Brian: "He's glamorous!"I think Brian also said that Adam was mature after mentioning that he was only 30.
