I'm watching the first link posted -- TvLux.net (that's the only part of the page I can understand, lol). In the meantime, I am watching my favorite summer pastime, the Tour de France. First day--just watched Bradley Wiggins from the UK pull into first place in the Prologue... I LOVE the Tour de France. My favorite parts are the Alpine climbs on the passes I've (my DH actually) driven in the past. KIEV - Let's hope the sound guy has his sheet together today! ;D |

I've been a TdF junkie since 1989, when my then boyfriend got me to watch the Sunday updates of some American named Greg Lemond riding in this crazy French bike race. Since then it has become my summer obsession -- from the week-end updates to daily coverage and from VCR recording to my current DVR recording and streaming video -- it has been my July tradition (and I have even gotten up REALLY early to watch live coverage of Alp D'Huez...).
The only other thing that I have been this way about is Adam--and that is ongoing!

I am deliriously excited.... but not at all nervous.
1. Adam has performed onstage for 2/3 of his life. It is probably the place he is most comfortable being.
2. Adam has sung before AI TV audiences of 35 million. He spoke of just having to get into the mindset of doing what he has always done... just with a larger audience.
3. Adam has been rehearsing with Queen for at least a week or more. He has probably had the music on his iPod for months. He probably has a rehearsal recording of the set list backing instrumentals he listens to multiple times a day.
4. Brian and Roger have his back.
5. Adam SO has the voice to do this music. As the DDD guys said, the EMAs were "too easy" for him. Yes the songs are challenging. Adam needs to challenge himself. He gets easily bored otherwise. Yes, some of the shifts in registers, in tone, in style will be tricky. But, I have been putting together some YTs to show an old friend/music teacher about Adam's voice. I have seen him do these shifts effortlessly in a number of songs. It is a forte of his. He's got this!
6. My biggest worry ..... really my only worry is that Adam has a great sound system so that he can hear what he needs to hear. But, Brian and Roger have been performing live in huge venues for 40 years! They are bound to have the best sound equipment and the best sound engineers that money can buy. They don't need to scrimp or compromise. If they are going to perform again, they are gonna want it perfect in every way. I am gonna trust that includes the sound system.
Adam, Brian, Roger, Eber, Elton, ATop, the audience around the world and the extraterrestrial visitors monitoring our television signals are all going to be so thrilled! IT'S ALL GOOD.

Will any of these streams work on iPhone? I can get to the sites but I'm not seeing what y'all describe. Can't read the language so no help there. Any suggestions? So far, what I am seeing on twitter, is that none of these links are working on i-phones. :( Crappitty Crap CRAP! >:( And I'm stuck out in the boonies with no computer or Internet other than 3G on iPhone. Will have to wait for vids to be posted...hopefully MANY & EXCELLENT QUALITY! :D Please Universe, make it so! Meanwhile I'll enjoy all of yall's commentary here on Atop |
