Adam Lambert denounces celebrity gossip: "It's all a game"

Adam Lambert has criticised people who spread gossip about celebrities.

The vocal powerhouse was asked by Holy Moly! about some of the rumours he has heard about himself since he became famous.

He said that he once heard talk of himself being a "total diva" - something which he said was "completely fabricated". When asked what his favourite piece of gossip about himself was, Lambert replied:

"These are good favourites. I remember early on there was some article that was like: 'Adam Lambert's a total diva and he was bossing all of his people around'. It was completely fabricated and I was like, 'What? Where did this come from?'."

He continued: "Gossip is silly. It comes with the territory. One person can say something to one magazine so that they can sell some copies. But there's no fact checking, there's no way to ensure that truth is printed. It's all a game."

Someone asked me a couple of days ago what was Adam's range in the Kiev concert? His lowest note? I couldn't respond at the time because my internet connection was down so I couldn't re-watch the concert. (It was driving me crazy not to be able to see all the videos being posted!)

Now, my connection is back, I have watched again, and here is my report:

Yes, Crazy Little Thing Called Love has the lowest note: a D3. (The lowest note in Aftermath in GNT was a half step lower than that)

Under Pressure also has a couple of D3s at the beginning where I think Adam is singing them along with Roger, but I am not sure, as his back is to the camera. It also has an E5, making the range of the song just over two full octaves.

Another One Bites the Dust has two full octaves: E3 to E5. (And it is sexy as hell! Freddie, live, prances around the stage on that one, while Adam gets down and funky.)

The highest note in the concert is in the final riff of I Want to Break Free. It is an F#5. Adam sang that note nightly on a couple of songs during GNT.

The two songs that Queen fans were saying hadn't been sung since Freddie died because the front men couldn't handle them? I don't hear anything that Adam sings on those songs that would be beyond anyone else but Freddie. :dunno:

The biggest challenge, I think, is that there are so MANY big, powerful songs in the Queen concert. It is one after another. I am not a Queen follower, but, from what I have seen of Freddie live, he did not sing those highest notes full out and sustained. He chopped them short, spoke them, or dropped the line to a lower harmony. Adam sings longer phrases, connected lyrical lines, and full power belts. On song after song. Glad he has that break in the middle!
