HELP! I'm seriously ready to jump out a window. I'm hoping someone here might know what I should do next. Yesterday I was finishing downloading all the Moscow videos and was starting to transfer some over to my iTunes library when I had the most awful thing happen. I had just finished copying the converted Kiev download with iTunes chapters into my iTunes (it was in my listing and showing in the viewer) but when I clicked for it to play, iTunes froze. I've had it freeze other times and all I would do was restart it. This time when it re-opened everything was gone!!!!!!! All my files and playlist were gone. All the customization and labeling gone. I was looking at the home page for newbies. No matter what I tried I could not get back to my files. The only thing I could access was the Store. I went online to find solutions but each one would have "buts" in the comments. The one that looks most promising suggested I go to my iTunes music library and previous libraries and make some adjustments there. But they were all empty too. I looked everywhere. I then went back to the home page and in desperation, I clicked on the upload music files hoping it would bring me to another screen but what it did was upload everything that was in My Music folders from both my C: drive and my portable disk drive including my iTunes backup files (which were also empty). Now I have stuff on iTunes I don't need there plus now I have three copies of practically everything. Some stuff I don't even recognize. I'm afraid to delete anything because Im not sure where each is really filed. When I went back to the itunes music libraries they are now filled with these files, even the previous libraries from 2009 and it's telling me I've got 23.3 gigs used space which means the original itunes files must have been there too but not visible to me. Does anyone have any idea what I can do? I certainly don't want to sync my iphone or ipad to this because it will wipe out what's on them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If this is the wrong place to post this, forgive me and please feel free to delete it. I'm just feeling a bit desperate tonight. I am so sorry this happened to you. I deleted everything once of Itunes from my computer and went to the Apple store, even though I don't have an Apple computer, and as long as you have everything on your Ipod they can transfer it back onto your computer. That's what they did for me. Maybe one of our savvy computer people here can help, too. Good luck. |

Jesslala - UGH! So sorry about your itunes fiasco! Is there any way to contact a human being in tech support at itunes? I've never had your situation happen to me, but it seems like all your downloads should be linked to your Apple ID/email address & maybe they're sitting on a server somewhere & can be retrieved with a little human help? Has anyone out there ever talked to a human being at itunes?

I have to comment on this "open mouth" business...it's gettin' a bit excessive to me.... (I'd be happy if he reigned it in a tad. *ducks*) But it's his rock face. Funk gets his stank face. :D Breathing! He is cranking it out to the max and having your mouth open maximizes air flow. Try running full out with your mouth closed. I doubt he is even aware of it. |

Our computer crashed 2 years ago and we lost all our iTunes that we had not backed up. We got a customer service agent on the phone. They have a record of all your items that you purchased and were able to restore almost everything. |
