What for? To make NCOE buys that count towards UK charts? That works right? :D YES!! For the UK Glamberts to gift the CD! WOW!! The internet is kind of amazing! Oh right it'll only count if someone in the UK gifts it to you, not if you buy it?

Talon, one more question, from me. If this is the way the diehards feel Then how can they feel that Martel is a better choice? He won a contest, does not have the musical background Adam has, and is in a tribute band. :-/ IMO...Adam, like Freddie, is the 'whole package'....true entertainer and artist who lives and tells a story when singing the songs. Martel, IMO, just sings the songs with no true visceral connection. Again, just my opinion, maybe they feel that Adam is more of a threat to Freddie's legacy than Martel. the only reason Martel is a "better" choice is exactly because he IS NOT the choice. They totaly dismiss B&R's opinion - and that was the start of my inquiry with Talon. Talon - you mentioned "deeper cuts" - what does this mean? Other pro-like recordings from various live events? if yes - I want every possible link that has Adam's voice (sorry, I am an Adam fan only - aside from classical singers that is)..., so this would mean any possible recording from the current gig. I am so very grateful for those Moscow FLAC files! Do you guys have someone going to every Q event to record with pro-like equipment?

Interesting conversation about Queen fans wishing the band would release some of the back catalogue of unreleased music. We all know how Adam felt about some of his earlier material - maybe Brian and Roger feel that it just hasn't held up with time. Is Map the last of the bonus tracks that we've been waiting for? If so, that's a real shame, because it has been fabulous getting a new treat every few weeks or so. I really like this one, more than BTR (although I'm completely amazed and impressed that BTR has been No 1 in Brazil. How does that happen? Radio must be very different in South America, if a DJ can just play a cut he likes and have it go to the top. Plus - naked beaches!) ANd very happy to see that Map has a bridge, because I am one of the group that hates the fact that Broken English and Naked Love and all the others don't have one! ETA: "I am thinking of how much Adam hated to have his "unfinished" material released, of the remarks he made when a fan asked him to sign a copy of Take One. When BFM was released, and I told my son about that, he said having unfinished sub par material released like that without your permission would be "the worst thing in the world" he could imagine as a musician. (He is a perfectionist.)" OMG Lynne, I posted almost the same thing at the same time! Jinx you owe me a coke! From the pic that wal posted it says 21.40 to 23.15. So today the concert is shorter? I wonder which songs they will skip. Didn´t the official information in Kiev also also say they would play 1 1/2 hours? I think we could still end up with 2 hours - we´ll see...... Oh it did? I didn't know that, thank you! So maybe we will have the full show

[/IMG]
Yeah...I knew you wanted a gif, hopefully someone will make it soon. I also "obsessed" with this running part that houselady posted a few days ago. As much as the fist pumping during the We Will Rock You at the EMA. Amazing that Adam or Brian didn't trip. Watch them running around the 3 minute mark.

Talon, one more question, from me. If this is the way the diehards feel Then how can they feel that Martel is a better choice? He won a contest, does not have the musical background Adam has, and is in a tribute band. :-/ A good majority of them don't think he's a better choice. A small few I think would consider him the lesser of two evils because Marc's voice reminds them of Freddie...and not because they want a clone but because of the similarity they genuinely feel his voice would fit the material better. *shrug* I think it is a valid argument. I wouldn't be against it but then again I'm not anti-Adam either. IMO...Adam, like Freddie, is the 'whole package'....true entertainer and artist who lives and tells a story when singing the songs. Martel, IMO, just sings the songs with no true visceral connection. Again, just my opinion, maybe they feel that Adam is more of a threat to Freddie's legacy than Martel. I would disagree with this. I've seen this on both boards but I saw Marc perform live with Queen Extravaganza and I think he gets slighted quite a bit for lack of chemistry. When he was on stage I was drawn to him as was the whole crowd in Boston. I thought he handled himself professionally and well. I'm not saying he's the answer or one is better than the other *shrug* But I hate seeing him slighted on both sides. See him in person and then decide - you mentioned "deeper cuts" - what does this mean? Other pro-like recordings from various live events? if yes - I want every possible link that has Adam's voice (sorry, I am an Adam fan only - aside from classical singers that is)..., so this would mean any possible recording from the current gig. I am so very grateful for those Moscow FLAC files! Do you guys have someone going to every Q event to record with pro-like equipment?
Sorry to confuse you there. It was more in response to those who have said they have gotten back into Queen because of their colllaboration. I meant if they wanted to look beyond the Greatest Hits packages, I would be more than willing to be their guide I don't have anything else QAL worth sharing yet. As far as others going...I don't know for certain. They come and go. I have a hard time believing that all 3 gigs would come and go in London without getting one of them recorded with good equipment, but I don't know for certain. If I get any, I will gladly share it I am thinking of how much Adam hated to have his "unfinished" material released, of the remarks he made when a fan asked him to sign a copy of Take One. When BFM was released, and I told my son about that, he said having unfinished sub par material released like that without your permission would be "the worst thing in the world" he could imagine as a musician. (He is a perfectionist.) Watching Queen documentaries, I hear what perfectionists all the members of Queen were in creating their material. Maybe Brian and Roger think all the unreleased stuff is not as good as Freddie would want it to be. Maybe they hoped they could make it be. Maybe they are still in the process of getting it there. Maybe they are still unsure. Who knows? This is still true. They are perfectionists to a degree BUT the arguments center around a few things 1. In about 2001 Brian said they wanted to release them and it would only be right to release it "warts and all" which means to me that they were going to release the whole kit and kaboodle. Things keep getting in the way. In fact that's another reason people don't like the collaboration. It has been stated at one time or another that planned releases were halted when QPR started up. So it is a viewpoint that QAL is actually delaying some gems being released. *shrugs* 2. One of the main frustrations surrounded the reissues of 2011. Brian and Roger tried to do right by issuing bonus EPs for the hardcore fans which made the choice of tracks so scatterbrained that it was frustrating. For example there was SOME brilliance and exactly what the fanbase wanted. Queen I had the earliest demos Queen ever did, News of the World had a brilliant unreleased track. AND some of Queen's fabled BBC sessions were included. But then there were some 2011 creations like songs stripped of vocals or done acapella which was ok but seemed to be filler. Then not all of the sessions were included which made little sense. And worst of all were live tracks from previously released live albums. I mean the bonus EPs were for hardcore fans - they definitely had the live albums. *shrug* If they were done that way as teasers for future releases which I hope than it will be fine but without that knowledge they were a bit frustrating.
