Which was Roger's complaint Yeah it's definitely strange and I don't think it came out exactly how Brian envisioned...

Back to work... Seaside RendezvousWritten by: Freddie Mercury Musicians: Freddie Mercury - lead and backing vocals, piano, jangle piano, vocal orchestration of woodwinds John Deacon - bass guitar Roger Taylor - drums, triangle, vocal orchestration of brass - Quite the rebound! You also read that right. Brian does not appear on this song. - The best part of the song is that all the brassy/woodwinds you hear in this song are Freddie and Roger faking it with their voices! Roger makes a hell of a brass section! - A return to vaudeville for Mr. Mercury. - This song was never performed live for obvious reasons and there are no alternate versions. QUOTES: - "It has a 1920’s feel to it, and Roger does a tuba and clarinet on it vocally, if you see what I mean. I’m going to make him tap-dance too; I’ll have to buy him some Ginger Rogers tap shoes.” – Freddie Mercury – NME - 1975 DOCUMENTARY: THE MAKING OF SEASIDE RENDEZVOUS- Great explanation by Rog. PERSONAL NOTES: - FUN track. One of the last real vaudeville experiments by Freddie. LOVED the fact that you can tell that while the band takes it's craft VERY seriously, it doesn't take itself very seriously at times. I can imagine being in the studio with Freddie and Roger during all this. Must have been a blast! Next up...a MUCH more serious song...and an unheralded number that rivaled Bohemian Rhapsody in epicness... The Prophets Song

If you didn't mention about the vocal acrobatics to mimic the musical instruments mentioned above I would have thought it was really part of the instrumentation being played. Awesome! ______________________________________________________ OT.... This soon to be filmed (or has the filming started already?) movie about Freddie's life .... there are so many books written about his life when I searched from B&N. 1. Do you know which book this movie will be based on? 2. Was the book and screen play approved by Queen/FM's family/JB? 3. I wonder who will play RT and BM in their younger days :D 4. If not being filmed yet, do you know when they will start? 5. Any idea of projected release date? Just curious...

You liked it so much you had to say it twice! :D J/K ______________________________________________________ Not based on any book. It's going to be an original screenplay. Queem has been heavily involved with the film since the beginning so I am quite certain they will have final approval on anything and I'm sure they will pass it along to Freddie's family as well. With that being said, that is a bit of a blessing and a curse. A blessing in that there is definite quality control. The curse being that the band might be a bit too controlling and might cut out some of the darker side in order to protect their image....I'd rather see completely honest, but I'm not producing it As do I! There haven't even been any rumors about it! They have not begun filming yet. I heard many times that the target date was 2013 but given that the film hasn't even started yet...I think what's most likely to happen is that they film during spring-summer of 2013 for an early 2014 release. That's my bet. but I don't have any solid info to confirm it... ;D
