Future Management I can't get over seeing Roger playing the guitar ;D Do I imagine FM gets a vibe similar to The Police sound? I can't wait to hear RT's new album!

Let's Get Crazy
Written by: Roger Taylor
Musicians:
Roger Taylor - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards David Richards - keyboards
- Issued as a single in the US, Japan, and Australia where it did not chart. - Played live by The Cross a few times but there are no YT videos.
PERSONAL NOTES:
- Awesome rocker. The drum break in the middle really makes the song. Admittedly it does get a wee bit repetitive at the end but it is a real fun time song.
Next up: A Roger epic, My Country I & II

OT.... hope this will come to fruition... Sonisphere rock festival confirms return for 2013The organisers of Sonisphere say the rock festival will be back in 2013. The event, which was due to take place at Knebworth Park, Stevenage in July, was called off in March. Stuart Galbraith, CEO of Kilimanjaro Live, said: "We're working on a bill now, hopefully to announce before Christmas. Cancelling it last year was a hiccup." Speaking at the UK Festival Conference, Galbraith admitted that they spent too long working on the bill for 2012. Announcing their line-up in February was "too late", he added. A statement from organisers released in March said they'd fought hard to keep the festival on but that "a very challenging year" meant the event wouldn't have satisfied fans and the artists. Adam Lambert was due to headline on Saturday with members of Queen. Evanescence, Marilyn Manson, Cypress Hill, The Blackout and Faith No More were also on the line-up. Ticket holders were given a refund. Sonisphere also tours throughout Europe. The festival has already confirmed it will visit Italy and France in 2013. It's possible. I don't quite forsee Queen trying again, but I will cross my fingers As regards to FM - Yes it definitely has a Police vibe...in fact that has been mentioned quite a bit! Let's Get Crazy is probably a bit closer to RT's newer sounds...but I could be very wrong!

Wal posted this in the news thread tonight....Dr. Brian May @drbrianmay“@carolambs: Adam didnt get a grammy nom." Well don't be too sad. Neither did the Beatles (except a film score), or Queen - ever !!! So ...
Do you know why, Talon? I mean with so many best selling albums and singles, why ever not? Because of their genre/category? An neither did the Beatles? Unbelievable..... ETA: Just saw Q3's post re:Grammy May I add Jimi Hendrix who also never got a Grammy nomination. Adam has a Grammy nomination already. He has done what these 25 major artists never did: www.craveonline.com/music/articles/183049-25-biggest-grammy-snubs Led Zeppelin Queen Jimi Hendrix The Who The Doors Bob Marley Buddy Holly The Kinks Diana Ross Janis Joplin The Grateful Dead Lynyrd Skynrd Bjork Run DMC Guns N' Roses Public Enemy Sly & The Family Stone The Stooges Motley Crue Depeche Mode Notorious B.I.G. The Pretenders Oasis Journey Parliament/Funkadelic And one of my favorite people and musicians -- Neil Young -- one his first Grammy last year. I still remember the night A Taste of Honey beat Elvis Costello for Best New Artist (1978). But the all time worst winner is Milli Vanilli!! The worst nomination ever was "The Chipmunk Song" for Record of the Year in 1959.

This is perhaps a stupid question, but is Sonisphere's festival always in the same place, in Knebworth Park?

Let's Get CrazyFreddie would have had a lot of fun with this song ;D Would love if RT's new album would sound similar to this. Oh I think Freddie would have rocked this one out, especially live! Do you know why, Talon? I mean with so many best selling albums and singles, why ever not? Because of their genre/category? An neither did the Beatles? Unbelievable..... It's hard to guess what the Grammys are EVERY thinking...I mean this is an organization who when they made an award for heavy metal decided to award the inceptual award to Jethro Tull instead of Metallica....cause those pan flutes, etc. are really heavy! As far as Queen goes though, despite everything I can almost see why they didn't get any awards. The Grammys are US based first off. With that in mind, they didn't really hit it big in the US til about 1977. Bo Rhap at first was a hit here but not quite as big as the UK. It only hit #9 here originally. They were overshadowed by Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd here to be honest. As they got big they only had a few chances to reach Grammy levels. WWRY & WATC but they were passed over probably for Queen not having paid their dues yet. The Jazz album wasn't quite a huge success so nothing really to look for. I'll skip The Game for a minute. 1981-1991 and Freddie's death were years Queen could barely get arrested in the US due to issues we will get into later so no chance there (although Metallica did win a 1991 Grammy for their cover of Stone Cold Crazy.) I think in 1992, a re-release wasn't going to win a Grammy (Bo Rhap) and since then well they haven't been chart darlings or consistent at all as far as releases go. Their one big shot was The Game. And indeed Another One Bites The Dust was nominated for a Grammy (and indeed won an American Music Award) but lost out to Bob Seger's Against The Wind. SO, it is highly unfortunate but that is the story of the Grammys. They DO have songs in the Grammy Hall Of Fame though (Bo Rhap/WWRY/WATC) and in 2008 they entered the Grammy Hall Of Fame. This is perhaps a stupid question, but is Sonisphere's festival always in the same place, in Knebworth Park? No not a stupid question. It is not though. It is in different venues. And there are multiple Sonisphere's that go on throughout Europe.
