My Country I & IIRoger with a truly rocker voice! I really appreciate his creativity and to tell you the truth, I didn't think much of him (before this thread) other than a Queen drummer. I guess the focus of my Queen knowledge in the early stage was just Freddie :D . Now you are introducing us to the whole package of these creative artists that embody Queen.

Good Times Are Now
Written by: Roger Taylor
Musicians:
Roger Taylor - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards David Richards - keyboards
- A straight ahead rocker about boy meets girl. - Supposedly this was tried live once with The Cross but no recording has surfaced. - Reportedly at one point this was conisdered for The Game but eventually found it's home on Roger's solo album.
PERSONAL NOTES: - One of my favs from the album, this is a fun bouncy song.
Next? A song Freddie name checked as one he really liked, Magic Is Loose

Magic Is Loose
Written by: Roger Taylor
Musicians: Roger Taylor - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards David Richards - keyboards
- A very different kind of Roger song - slow and brooding - Freddie was quoted as saying he loved teh song and often sang it, so it's not hard to believe that it was demoed for The Game - It was performed live once in 2000 when Roger guested with SAS but no recordings surfaced.
PERSONAL NOTES: - One of my favorite songs to sing too with some great backgrounds. Roger has some great vocals here and it is not the last time he sings about...Magic!

Interlude In Constantinople
Written by: Roger Taylor
Musicians:
Roger Taylor - vocals, guitars, bass, drums, keyboards David Richards - keyboards
- Very strange song - something you get used to from Roger over the years. - While it was never performed live per se, it was used as a taped introduction to Roger's Electric Fire tour in 1998.
SIDEBAR
Am I the ONLY one who sees a big connection between this song and the Lamda Rap from the film, Revenge Of The Nerds in 1985?
PERSONAL NOTES: - It is what it is - a nice little interlude. Fun and very Roger. Wouldn't fit on a Queen album, but fits like a glove on a Roger album.
Next up is Roger's ode to dumb love, Airheads

Interlude In ConstantinopleAm I the ONLY one who sees a big connection between this song and the Lamda Rap from the film, Revenge Of The Nerds in 1985? Not familiar with the Lamda Rap from the film, Revenge Of The Nerds in 1985 but you are right. Did Roger ever mention any inspiration/source of this particular song in his album? Just curious... Or, could he just be trying to explore different sounds to really differentiate his songs/album from Queen's?
