WTF I thought it was around 15? NCOE is #15 and Trespassing is #23 Thanks! Guess I am overwrought. Didn't read carefully. Sure as hell don't want either to lose ground. I emailed that I am ready to be gifted but nothing has come through as yet. Heading out for a couple of hours. Hope something good is waiting when I get back.

Huh. I want Adam to do whatever makes him happy. If he wants the AI gig, then I want it for him. The size of the paycheque would be pretty nice! BUT I tend to think he's just being his usual politically correct, never rule anything out, self. Besides, if Adam replaced jlo there wouldn't be any females on the judges panel, and I don't think TPTB want that.
If it was all about what makes ME happy though, I want him as far away from AI as possible.

It would at least put Adam in the driver's seat regarding visibility. Better than schlepping around doing radio PR Alison, your last comment got me thinking. He has spent 6 months (ish) schlepping without much result. So, 6 months of Idol? Way more exposure. He seemed to embrace the idea in the radio interview. (Where is the rest of the interview BTW?) Of course, we fans noticed his un-self-centered language and word choices: "Help them be the artist they want to be."

There are many avenues to success in the music business these days, and radio is a pain in the ass and very expensive. Why not AI? Adam is a game changer--he has taken every opportunity thrown his way and makes the best of it. Even potential disasters turn out to be a PR win for him. Why? Because he is honest, genuine, intelligent, hardworking, immensely talented, and has long term vision.
The visibility would be incredible--and YES to an AI paycheck. This would afford him the luxury of making music, fronting legendary rock bands, solo touring in venues large or intimate, etc on his own terms.
I just don't understand the horror of an AI/Adam collaboration.

For the UK locked-out gifters...
I know one can have more than one iTunes account as long as it's on a different credit card. Worth a try?

www.metro.co.uk/music/reviews/904447-adam-lambert-trades-rock-theatrics-for-high-fructose-pop-on-trespassing?ITO=socialnet-twitter-buttonBy John Lewis - 9th July, 2012 Adam Lambert trades rock theatrics for high-fructose pop on Trespassing Album review: New Queen frontman and X Factor finalist Adam Lambert showcases his appealing blue-eyed soul on sophomore effort Trespassing. Adam Lambert delves into the world of high-fructose pop on latest effort Trespassing Adam Lambert, a finalist on American Idol in 2009, is one of the more interesting figures to emerge from the auspices of Simons Cowell and Fuller and the hell of the TV talent show. Openly gay and possessed of an appealing blue-eyed soul howl, he has been assisted by the effusive praise of Roger Taylor and Brian May, who have installed him as the latest frontman of Queen. Lambert’s second LP, however, ignores Mercury-esque rock theatrics in favour of high-fructose pop, with an expensive collection of writer/producers (Bruno Mars, Josh Abraham, Sam Sparro, etc). The best songs – Trespassing and Kickin’ In – see Pharrell Williams using Lambert as a Michael Jackson manqué, as does the Nile Rodgers-assisted Shady. But even the drearier hi-NRG workouts have a strong song structure and a storytelling quality that marks them out from the competition.
