This is your one-a-page reminder (until we find more gifters): IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ANYONE IN THE UK:
The NCOE gifting campaign is stalled right now, because they need people in the UK to do the gifting.
PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN
Offer to be one of the gifters of the single. The fan groups organizing this need gifters (people who gift the single at iTunes). They will reimburse you from the donations. Email RequestAdam@aol.com to offer, or let me know and the information will get to the right people.
I just got back on the thread and wanted to post this again: Can anyone in the UK help by being a gifter for the single?

AI on TV (american idol) > AI on radio (audience impression).
Not in numbers or people reached, but in quality it sure is bigger.
He would get off the singles promotion treadmill in the US. And we would get off having to listen to radio stations we normally don't want to hear.
But it does not help in Europe, for example (or right now the UK).
Not sure what can wake up sleepy UK to an artist at their doorstep they should take a listen to. For some people the Queen / rock performances will do that, but they will not necessarily be the market looking for a pop album next either.
I the end I am wondering whether Adam will end up being a multi-talented mega TV personality rather than a typical top 40 recording artist. And I am not sure this has to be a bad thing either or that it would close any doors for him as a performer or as a recording artist. It may turn out alright that way, actually.
Boy, would I like to be a fly at the wall and listen in what BM and RT are saying about the ongoing news cycle right now. I have to say, it is to me very disappointing to see that a mega quality artistic achievement like these 3 concerts in Eastern Europe is not getting any news in the US for Adam (or for Queen for that matter), but that this potential future AI slot news is making such waves.
What is wrong with this world? The skill required to do what Adam did these last week is totally unique in the world, nobody else besides him could have stood up, done a week or two of rehearsals and sang that catalog of Queen songs, in this quality and at this performance level. Noone in the world! On the other hand - TV judge? Adam may be especially good at it, but it is not something that takes that much talent? Yet it is rewarded with beaucoup bucks, tons of privileges and status, and a huge media entourage in tow.
Wonders off shaking head.....

Would it be too cheeky to tweet some of Adam's UK musician pals asking them to give NCOE + TP a shoutout? The Wanted come to mind, who else is there?

The important part of this article - they've got a quote already. "Idol has an amazing history of introducing great musical talent, and I was very fortunate to have had the Idol stage play a big part in my career," Lambert says. "If Idol wants to talk to me about judging, I'd be more than flattered to have that conversation."

I wasn't going to mention going to London, because, believe me, I know what it's like to be feeling left out of events, but this pic just got me teary-eyed. We're leaving in 5 hours. I feel completely unworthy of meeting all of you clever and articulate (and prolific!) Atoppers who are attending. So, the point is, you will all get your chance. And if there's ever anything I can do to help anyone get toward that chance, I would welcome the opportunity. None of us can know ahead of time what the great ones will be (I won't be going to Saturday's show, so I know there are things I will miss out on.) It just comes with the territory. We as fans can't be at everything (well, unless we're Suz526 ), but we can experience vicariously, which is awesome. Btw, the hubs is totally onboard now! I think he's realized a side benefit of supporting my stanning. ;D And we're celebrating our 20th anniversary (small potatoes compared to Osma! ) plus a big birthday, so I had a lot of leverage to convince in for this one. YAY, JUNKETS!! And double YAY for "lots of leverage"!!! HAVE FUN AND REPORT BACK!!!
