From the end of the Eonline article: Critics have complained that Lopez, Tyler and Jackson haven't been as harsh as past judging panels. "It's not like dancing, where you can say point your toes, spread your legs. It's more like, 'When you hit that top note, just smile.'" REALLY!?!? As a pro in the fine arts, he can't think that there might be ways to critique a singing performance? Maybe that is because many popular singers (I'll include AI judges) have little or no music training. On the other hand, most dancers on So You Think You Can Dance are highly trained and so are the judges (including Nigel). Sorry, but if that quote is accurate, it reveals all sorts of ignorance.  |
