I can understand the goat vibrato. Usually that refers to the speed of the vibrato, not simply the overuse. (Don't know how the QOL people are meaning it). Adam always uses vibrato, unless he uses a straight tone on a note for effect. His vibrato is on the fast side for vocal vibrato. If it were any faster, I'd have a problem listening to it (personal preference). There are some vibratos that drive me insane (Johnny Mathis, Andrea Bocelli). Freddie's vibrato was quick but also small and unstable/uneven. Since a lot of people don't like vibrato, I can see why Adam's might bother them. It suits me just fine. Thanks, Holst. I remember prominent vibratos from Casey James and Jessica Sanchez on Idol. Also heard a prominent one from Alfie Boe on Bring Him Home recently but DH said it was supposed to sound like that (see told you I didn't know much about music). But if a lot of people don't like vibrato, wouldn't they dislike Freddie's also? His fans seem to think Freddie always sang perfectly no matter what but tend to nit-pick Adam to death. Not necessarily. Freddie's vibratto is different than Adam's. You can like one virbatto and not like another. In this case though I think the Adam vibrato argument is well overblown. It is all opinion, but in my view it was a more legitimate argument around Kiev. The first concert I wasn't a fan of Adam's vibrato and thought it was overpowering. But as the dates go on, his vibrato is far more subtle (and also perhaps the initial Kiev gig vibrato was at least partially fueled by nerves. Now either I'm used to it or it's gotten far more subtle. That argument to me doesn't hold much water. Actually very few arguments hold much weight with me by now...and all of them are basic different tastes..

Just wanted to stop in and say Happy New Years to everyone here I finally am coming back down after my extreme work schedule followed by a small vacation that I really didn't get a chance to do more than hit and run posting and skimming... I want to thank you peeps again for welcoming me so warmly and making me feel at home. I'm really happy for all of you and glad that Adam is gaining more acceptance slowly but surely and I hope just as much for you as I do for him that his new album is a success and you guys have years and years of Adam tours and albums to look forward to. And unlike some Queen fans, I am very grateful that he got the boys going one more time so I could get a few last concerts in...and I do hope now more than ever that a QAL album does happen...eventually

Oh, and Talon, I would have loved to have been there and heard the mix for the room. Agreed! ! It may have been a tv thing or whatever and it was different in the room itself - I've seen that happen quite a bit. Pretty decent show. As expected GH 1&2 setlist with nary a song NOT on one. I wasn't a fan of the mix - Spike was up to high and Brian not high enough...Brian's guitar was drowned out at some points I felt... It definitely felt like the band had been off a few months...not quite as tight - also of course not helped by a ton of little edits and rush to fit the time frame so it really was a different animal. It almost seemed as if at first, Adam wasn't sure how to do a Queen show without the big expansive set to run around in so to me it was a bit slow to start but it picked up and they finally just started having fun. So all in all a decent show and I'm hoping that the European tour will provide a few happy surprises. You sure are difficult to please. I thought it was great. Perhaps you should let the BBC know there sound mix sucked LOL I don't think I'm too difficult I mean overall I did really enjoy it so there's that

To those asking about WWTLF...it may be the song they cannot see...but honestly more likely it's left off because it's not a very New Years Eve party song. This is going to be up up up for the most part....I would think...

It's interesting that the description for the video includes this statement. No John Deacon? I think it was either initially a mistake or a bad attempt to say that (at the time) they might get to see Freddie, Brian, and/or Roger's material as well (since John really had no solo career outside a few appearances on other records. The overall page says best of Queen....they may never have fixed each individual description.....although they really should. Apart from: The Show Must Go On Drowse Crazy Little Thing Called Love that were heard during sound check, my guess for the rest of the set list tonight is (in no particular order): Another One Bites The Dust Don't Stop Me Now I Want to Break Free Fat Bottom Girls Somebody To Love I Want It All Under Pressure Radio Gaga Bohemian Rhapsody We Will Rock You We Are The Champions What say you? For the record I don't think we get Drowse tonight. If we do get Drowse I'd bet that it's on the upcoming tour (which is still fine by me....I just want to hear it!) - I just don't see it as New Year's Eve party song. Just like when they were soundchecking I Was Born To Love You in jersey, etc. This was just a way for them to practice it...all the while soundchecking. SOOOO I'd bet on a Greatest Hits Set List: (Not in order) Bo Rap WWRY WATC Somebody To Love Fat Bottomed Girls AOBTD Ga Ga Break Free Under Pressure I Want It All Dragon Attack Crazy Little Thing Auld Lang Syne (something special for the actual time before the fireworks or afterwards) If we do get a surprise, I'd go with Born To Love You (perhaps it was the trailer song for a reason...)
